It's really shoddy of them to advertise the full sizes of the shampoo, conditioner and cleanser on the email... screenshots attached for anyone who isn't a BD member anymore.

I'm surprised that the email was allowed to be sent out as surely it's an advertising breach of standards or whatever you call it.

I'm beginning to see how Liberty's comms & marketing dept is rubbish.
I wouldn't stand for it if I was CEO.

BakeOffRewatch · 26/03/2024 21:57

Wow that’s pretty bad, thanks for sharing the photo @Orangeslemon

NCForQuestions · 26/03/2024 22:08

To add to the photos, if you click on any of the embedded photos, it takes you to the kit rather than the full size product..... If it took you to the full size product I wouldn't be as miffed.

Yet more absolutely shite comms.

Have they got a pile of unpaid interns who are sick of working for free?

BakeOffRewatch · 26/03/2024 22:12

Reminds me of the discussion in this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/the_royal_family/5032651-buckingham-palace-comms-job?reply=133910404

marshmallowface · 26/03/2024 22:59

RedSwans · 26/03/2024 15:21

I never get any of the emails despite being opted in and being a BD member for two years! Does anyone have a picture or link to the kit?

Am patiently awaiting the next GWP too…

I don't receive emails either and also get the BD - really odd. Only way I find out about kits etc is through Mumsnet...

Jellycats4life · 26/03/2024 23:42

Advertising three of the products as full size when they’re absolutely not is a massive gaffe.

listsandbudgets · 27/03/2024 11:14

Glad I'm on a buying ban or I'd have absolutely bought it based in the email.... and been incredibly disappointed when I discovered the real sizes. Except the mascara which dd would take all products i'd have really liked to have.

I hope its sheer incompetence rather than intentional! 30ml sizesmakes it pretty poor value to be honest.

listsandbudgets · 27/03/2024 11:19

i've emailed and asked them to clarify the product sizes

NCForQuestions · 27/03/2024 13:39

Has anyone who has asked about the size difference had a response yet?

listsandbudgets · 27/03/2024 14:46

just had a reply. they are 30ml not full size.

they really ought to send out a correction....

NCForQuestions · 27/03/2024 14:59

So no explanation as to why the email is misleading us? Or an apology or attempt to make up for their appalling marketing once again?

Once the next box arrives, I think I'm out. Can't be doing with this level of incompetence.

H3lloMums · 27/03/2024 15:01

I've only just seen that the moor cleaner is meant to be full size too! its the same size as came in a previous box. That is poor value, I cant see how they got to £217 value

listsandbudgets · 27/03/2024 15:32

Sorry .. yes they apologised and thanked me for letting them know and said they would let the online team know so it could be sorted out.

@h3llomums You're right the cleanser is the smaller size.

if any if you irdered on the back if the email description i will be interested to see their response when you quite reasonably complain

HostessTrolley · 27/03/2024 15:42

I ordered on the back of the email description. Mine has been despatched so I'm waiting for it to arrive before contacting them.

i was just looking at the costs and I can't see where they got £271 from. I've assumed that the wash bag is a small size (it looks like old stock) and I've work out the proportional prices of the small sizes by dividing down the smaller size shampoo conditioner. The korres shower gel isn't on the website so I've looked at the price on other websites

HostessTrolley · 27/03/2024 15:46

Sorry I didn't edit the size on the second list

H3lloMums · 27/03/2024 15:57

Interesting @HostessTrolley - closer to full size value if washbag was less not valued! I would get it if those 3 were full size.

OooScotland · 27/03/2024 16:00

That is poor value, I cant see how they got to £217 value

The only thing I can think of is that they’re allowed to say £217 value because it would be if all the products were full size, and they’re allowing £48 for the bag.

Obviously if, say, four out of six of them are sample/travel sizes and the bag is not actually worth £48 retail they’re not making much, if any, loss by selling at £75. I noticed this with the boxes. £300 of free beauty products per year! Well, 90% of them are sample/travel size and quite a few are sachets, so not really.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 27/03/2024 17:41

That's very, very bad regards misleading sizes ... plus I'm sure the ad didn't just state the ml but did it say Full Size? May have imagined that!

You buy theses items based on info like that!

Sort it out, Liberty Confused

I’ve just looked at the email again and it did state the ml amounts for every product except the lip balm and the mascara, the amounts stated for everything except the Hydrakate serum are in the hundreds. As that’s a serum I’m assuming that 30ml is full size.

RockaLock · 27/03/2024 20:07

The email today to non (or ex!) beauty drop members has corrected the size of the shampoo & conditioner to 30ml - but still has the Omorovicza cleanser as 150ml 🤦‍♀️

I think even if their value doesn't quite add up to the £217 - and don't get me wrong, it's very naughty of them - it's not too far off, and is still good value for £75.

I'm actually quite tempted by this one, as I would use everything in it, which hasn't been the case for any of the other recent kits, which haven't appealed to me personally at all.

FFS! Who is in charge of their comms? A teenage intern?

I bet there are teenage interns out there who are more conscientious than the person at Liberty ballsing things up left, right and centre.

NCForQuestions · 28/03/2024 12:19

I've not had any correction email....

Yet more problems at their end, it's an absolute shambles!

Clogsinbog · 28/03/2024 12:54

Did you all receive an email to inform you of the increase of monthly cost of beauty drop to £25? I didn't receive anything about this.

OooScotland · 28/03/2024 15:04

I keep seeing pp asking about the price hike notification. This is what I got. I’ve been a member for six months.
