Was proud of myself for cancelling the BD as don't really need more products to add to my stash. Then on another thread someone suggested the Penhaligan's newsletter....have a delivery on the way, sigh 😂

paristotokyo · 18/04/2024 13:35

Ok so contacted them through WhatsApp and they were very responsive and will send out another box to me. Even though I said the first one could be retrieved. So the customer service was really good. (Just a shame it wasn't a better box this time 😂)

BakeOffRewatch · 18/04/2024 14:48

What is the box? I saw the spoiler before the boxes were out a few weeks ago, but the social media posts I’ve seen by others show a Sunday Riley CEO cream. I’ve never tried that, but then maybe the posts I’ve seen are of an old box.

WhoaJayShettybambalam · 18/04/2024 15:03

@BakeOffRewatch
sunday Riley ceo afterglow brightening gel cream
skincycles silk bio cellulose sheet mask
LBTY maze eau de parfum
Malin & Goetz grapefruit face cleanser
Philip Kingsley elasticizer
Bamford geranium body wash

listsandbudgets · 18/04/2024 15:56

My replacement box is with Amazon... however it is apparently out for delivery so fingers crossed... the problem usually seems to be at the depot where things go in and never come out!!

violetmondays · 18/04/2024 19:01

@Clogsinbog I was planning to cancel BD after I received this box because I really have far too many products but something is stopping me! I also ordered the 'set for sun' edit from Cult Beauty (really good value) which arrived yesterday, oops!

Me too..cult beauty sun box!
Also sticking with the BD for now. I’m hoping that the boxes improve as they get rid of some old products.

I love the Maze perfume…love an orange clean smell. I love one of the other ones we had too, so may have to splurge if there is a GWP!

I'm so not interested in that cult beauty box, ehm, well, wouldn't hurt just to have a little look,. would it? 😁😀

Replacement box turned up. Interestingly, in this one the CEO cream was boxed whereas in the other it wasn't. Bizarrely it made it feel a much nicer experience opening the box. The mask packet dosen't have a hole in it and the lid was properly on the bodywash so the whole lot wasn't covered in a film of gloop - much better.

Given the great customer services over this I've decided to stay with BD for now - if they'd not replaced or messed about taking ages to answer I'd probably have left.

I’d just come on to say almost exactly the same about my replacement box with no hole in the mask packet leaking gunk, the boxed ceo cream, and how it was a much nicer experience. Even the cleanser tube was unsqaushed.

Looks like that Instagram post that was taken down is the next GWP and it starts on Monday! I've been keeping an eye on the promotions ts and Cs page as it shows upcoming/active promotions before they happen this has just been added. (screen shot)

TLDR: £175 spend and GWP is worth £300.

A lot of it is recent BD bits and if it was for £125 spend, I'd grab it, but I don't think its worth dropping £175 personally. I'm also on holiday from Tuesday so I can't even if I wanted too!

What do you all think?

Although the offer of £100 off £300 spend looks like it can be used as well, so potentially a decent offer to stack? 🤔

paristotokyo · 20/04/2024 01:35

All of the current BD bits are in that GWP also.. think I'll pass on this one.

This isn't available in beauty though, is it? I tried adding a perfume and lipstick to my basket and couldn't see the discount.

Ooh great detective work! The majority of the contents are former BD items that I already have so I agree that it’s not what I would expect for a £175 spend. Certainly not as good as the GWPs from December and September. I’d expect a candle or something more exciting for a “big” GWP. I really want to use up my BD credit and get a perfume but this isn’t tempting me.

Oh wow, I think you are a genius! That's great you discovered this and shared it with us all.

I feel like I type out the same phrase form every kit and GWP but once again....this doesn't excite me and I already have most of these.

At this point I'm probably deluding myself but I'm sure, one day soon, they are going to do a GWP that's worthy of my £100 credit and hopefully in time to use my £10 voucher!

No beauty and it's a £300 threshold for £100 off.... It's amazing if you're spending big money though, 1/3 off!

I’m tempted with that GWP. I’ve wanted to try the SPF anyway, and the cosmetics bag looks a good one. They normally have a “proper” GWP early May time, so I’m wondering if this is it now. The £175 spend limit suggests it might be. It’s not as good as their normal GWP though (spring 2023 was a the same spend limit bit worth £446). I’ll be annoyed if I get this one and then another better one comes out in a couple of weeks though!

Mystery2345 · 20/04/2024 10:44

So the £100 off £300 doesn't apply to beauty but then they list some beauty brands anyway in the exemptions. More strong work from the team there.

I do not get their emails despite wanting them

Also I was in store this week, went to beauty drop internet to email me my vouchers, and found I had £40 in a voucher on top of my current BD balance - I left and started again about 6m ago - would not have known about this £40 had I not done that, so a tip for you all to check!

They do seem useless but I am saving for some perfume, a GWP and will then scarper.

LoveLabradors · 20/04/2024 11:20

Thanks for posting this @Jordiib 😊. Oh I’m torn. It’s not a great gwp but I just want my credit gone now! Even with the £100 off £300 I’ve not really seen anything - so much is out of stock on the website. Although there is usually a good May gwp I am not sure if this is just it but earlier.
Does anyone know if when you cancel the beauty drop if you still have the benefits like free postage whilst you have the credit there please? I want to cancel but I’m nervous Liberty will make a mess of it and might struggle to use the credit or at worst lose it! They seem to be very erratic at the moment.

drawnfrommemory · 20/04/2024 11:33

I think I'm going to get the GWP and have just been filling up my basket ready to go - I'm about to run out of Vit C anyway so once I'd added some of that, it wasn't that much of a stretch to stock up on some mascara and bath foam!

I like the sunscreen (I've had it before and find the SPF30 much easier to apply than the SPF50 which is incredibly thick and sticky) and even though I've had most of the products before, a lot of them are useful for travel/ handbag use etc so I'm good I think.

Plus I've just done my tax return and put aside more than I need to pay my tax bill, so I'm technically feeling a bit flush at the moment!

periodiclabel · 20/04/2024 11:58

torn, it’s not the best GWP it’s not the worst either. I can’t decide if I use up a chunk of my credit (£240) on this, hold out for a better GWP or if none comes up spend it all on the advent calendar – though I don’t particularly want to do that, how much was the calendar last year? needless to say, there are actually things I would like from liberty beauty but none of them are in stock.

drawnfrommemory · 20/04/2024 12:21

I was actually amazed that everything I wanted was actually in stock - I'm not entirely convinced it will be by the time I check out on Monday though!

Another76543 · 20/04/2024 12:30

One comment I would make is that the new GWP includes everything that was in this month’s beauty drop box. We are now effectively paying £15 for that box, and the same items will now be available for “free” in the GWP. I think I worked out that the latest beauty drop box had the lowest “value” of all the boxes so far as well.

I really hope they’re just re-jigging things and clearing existing stock, and that things will improve again in time for the next box.
