Thanks @Revelatio! Was avoiding looking to see what was in it! I don’t have many surprises left in life at my age.

Is the April beauty box really going to be what’s advertised on the website (Malin cleanser, Bamford hand wash, face mask, elasticizer, teeny perfume, and CEO cream)? I’ve not seen them advertise it in advance before. I’m a little disappointed, I was hoping for something new and exciting. The whole point for me is to try new things and I feel I’ve had most of these before. I hate the elasticizer, it makes my fine hair break!

I think it must be, because I don’t think I’ve seen those contents in a box before. I‘m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like Elasticiser! As for trying something new - I would've thought nearly everyone had tried Elasticiser at some point.

It was already discussed so do calm down.

Oh come on. It does say spoiler in the title!

To be fair, I don't usually expect there to be a spoiler until after the box has gone out - however now they've started pre-listing I suppose I'll just have to read the thread less.

I guess me and @Peridot1 are just getting old and like our surprises Grin

BlueLimeRun · 09/04/2024 17:11

I like a suprise too. It feels like there are quite a few people unhappy with the boxes so I’ll probably not read the thread anymore.

Jellycats4life · 09/04/2024 17:50

RedSwans · 08/04/2024 22:56

This has happened to me a few times too.

Also my BD voucher code no longer shows on my account even though I have credit. Have to find an email with it on and copy/paste when I want to redeem.

No idea why it disappeared. Maybe a security thing after the hack?

Same! And it won’t let me stack my £40 BD credit with £20 in loyalty vouchers.

Although both are showing as deducted, the figure deducted is only £40, not £60. Useless.

BakeOffRewatch · 09/04/2024 17:54

@BlueLimeRun @Peridot1 we could have a non spoilers thread

Please can I join! I am still going to get the boxes as I have a fabric buying addiction (and a vague sewing hobby to justify it!) so I spend enough there and like that I get free postage this way so can buy little bits and pieces

Please do - maybe can be a general Liberty thread?

BakeOffRewatch · 09/04/2024 17:59

I would flood a general Liberty thread with pictures of plates 😂. Ok I’ll start one now. A bit like the Toast or Mint Velvet threads then.

Peridot1 · 09/04/2024 18:03

@LittleBearPad I’m perfectly calm thanks. Just wanted to point out that some of us like the suprise element.

@Ap24 - yes I realise that it says spoiler in the title and I avoid the thread for a few days before the kit comes out until mine has arrived. I just feel that detailing the products like that was a bit disappointing.

I don’t feel the need to start a general Liberty thread as I only really use it for the Beauty Drop. Obviously if anyone else does feel free!

Thanks @listsandbudgets and @BlueLimeRun and @BakeOffRewatch.

I’d be interested in plates. I also like the glasses 😳

SwordBilledHummingbird · 09/04/2024 18:32

@Peridot1 I'm the same as you with regards to spoilers. I fully expect it when delivery starts and it's on me at that point to avoid the thread if I don't want any spoilers, but I don't expect to see contents listed on the thread a week or more in advance. Luckily, I realised what was coming and managed to avert my eyes. I do know about two of the items and have a vague idea of another from previous posts, but have managed to avoid the details of the rest - phew!

brogueish · 09/04/2024 18:43

@Jellycats4life I had trouble stacking BD credit and the voucher earlier today but it worked in the end. I had to adjust the amount to be taken from the BD pot to allow the voucher, if that makes sense?

Couperi · 09/04/2024 19:27

I've not read what's in the latest box yet. I was hoping it would be a good one to stop more people leaving BD.
If it's not to my liking I plan on cancelling. I'd love to know how many customers they've lost after introducing the service charge.

I want to use all of my credit, so it should be simple shouldn’t it? Have contacted CS so I’ll be interested to see what they say.

canina · 10/04/2024 08:47

I've just bought a silk scarf for £21 (20% off)
Used my remaining Credit (first) plus loyalty voucher second. otherwise it wouldn't work. Had to find my credit code number in an old email.
Will cancel on or around 16th when the April box is due.
Too much stress involved now it kind of takes the shine off and I'm not very impressed with the contents.

Back21970 · 10/04/2024 09:16

Not at all impressed by the April box - think it will go straight on EBay unopened to be honest.

Did expect better for this one.

Think my subscription days are numbered, especially given that when I do try and purchase anything it’s generally out of stock.

Hoping for a decent kit soon, recall there was a brilliant one this time last year.

Really hope Liberty read this thread and take note but suspect they are not that bothered as doubt I’m their overall target market 🤣.

periodiclabel · 10/04/2024 10:06

It's the stock issues that are driving me mad - until I read this thread I didn't realise I wasn't alone in that anything I want to buy is never actually there! I'm in London so next time there's a decent GWP I will go into the shop where this is more choice. But it makes you lose faith

Thanks for this - I had entered the vouchers the other way around. Tried using BD then loyalty and it worked 🙄

I too had to look at old emails to find the voucher numbers. Can’t believe how shambolic it all is. They’ve really cheapened themselves by being so poor at online retail.

violetmondays · 10/04/2024 12:21

I was hoping to be wowed a bit more by the April box to justify the price hike but unfortunately it's not enough. I have spent the last of my credit on a Lisa Eldridge lipstick and a random but lovely jigsaw puzzle and will cancel when the next box arrives. Disappointed but it's not worth it for me any more. If I was still living in London I might be tempted to continue for the in-store stock and experience but the website is rubbish.

Cyclingmummy1 · 10/04/2024 12:28

@canina can you link the scarf please?

Jellycats4life · 10/04/2024 12:53

I’ve spent the last of my credit on a lovely teapot and will cancel too.
