Trying to spend my credit this evening -
have I lost the plot or has this suddenly become impossible? Has anyone else had issues?
There’s a small chance my troubles are Malbec related

BakeOffRewatch · 05/04/2024 22:10

I placed an order a couple of days ago and couldn’t complete it on my tablet. The transaction was failing on their website but my bank hadn’t registered it at all, so definitely to do with Liberty. I then did it on my phone and it went straight through. I contacted customer service and they said it’s a known issue that their IT team is dealing with.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 06/04/2024 02:24

This week I've given up on trying to spend my credit as the Liberty website is like a game of hide & seek with the stock levels.
One minute something that you want to order is available, then it isn't, then back again, then gone again 🤷‍♀️

bubbletubble · 06/04/2024 12:18

Anyone had any issues with Liberty packaging recently?

Finally used my credit I've built up (£300!) and treated myself to some Prada sunglasses - the Prada box they come in was ripped on two sides, obviously doesn't effect the sunglasses but not what I expected from a luxury brand and especially when they cost so much money.

Sunglasses are nice though 😎

I keep having to change my password, as it doesn’t recognise it when I try to sign in! It’s a right pain! Four password changes so far! What is going on with them ☹️

paristotokyo · 08/04/2024 21:14

Eagerly awaiting the beauty drop box however I've just changed the address and worried it will go to the old address.. don't have a lot of faith in them to be honest. Will be cancelling after this box anyway as don't want to pay the £25 but really hoping for an amazing edit to use up my credit.

Cyclingmummy1 · 08/04/2024 21:18

I've got £11 credit left plus a £10 voucher so will find something to spend that on and then cancel.

I had that yesterday. It’s randomly working again today. Their website and customer service is getting beyond a joke.

NecklessMumster · 08/04/2024 22:54

I joined in Jan to save for the advent calendar but I think I'll cancel due to the £5 charge, and this thread is making me worried that it's all going to pot anyway. I don't know what to spend my credit on which will be £100 next month...I keep browsing but don't want clothes or perfume without trying them on, not used to spending ££ on skincare, feel like I'm spending for spendings sake

This has happened to me a few times too.

Also my BD voucher code no longer shows on my account even though I have credit. Have to find an email with it on and copy/paste when I want to redeem.

No idea why it disappeared. Maybe a security thing after the hack?

Pigtailsandall · 09/04/2024 08:49

I finally used up my remaining £60 of BD credit and my £10 Jan voucher on some Sunday Riley products. They were slightly reduced in the sale, and as I spent over £85 I also got a free gift. I feel like I'm now kind of done with Liberty - just hoping the items arrive OK!

BakeOffRewatch · 09/04/2024 10:34

Liberty is amazing in store, I went to collect my item in person and it’s just so lovely with lots of little things I might get but wouldn’t look for online, like cute homeware items. I don’t think they can replicate that online, their web and search experience is nowhere near Net A Porter, ASOS or any of The Hut Group companies. The people who work there are so friendly and helpful too, they really know the products and aren’t just there to man the till. I don’t think any other shop offers what they do now, John Lewis has completely gutted customer service and if you ask people in store for advice they don’t know, unless you book a personal shopping appointment for clothes or baby stuff.

BD has worked, in that I was only ever buying beauty from Space NK and had been into Liberty once in my teens and filed it away in my head as “expensive and not for me”. Now I’ve been there a few times, seen what they sell, had a facial, really like the beauty brands they have and curated items, like children’s toys as gifts. Maybe that’s all they were ever aiming for, bringing in people who now have the disposable income for beauty and introducing them to the other stuff they have. If I was just going by the online experience, I wouldn’t use them at all. I stopped BD because I didn’t want a soggy box that had been left behind the bin. Chose to collect for the same reason, even though delivery would be free!

ScubaDivingSpiderMonkey · 09/04/2024 11:03

I'm intrigued to see what the next box is like.

WhoaJayShettybambalam · 09/04/2024 11:37

@BakeOffRewatch same, I adore the in store experience although sadly live a million miles away so it’s a twice yearly pilgrimage which totally lives up to the pedestal that I have placed it on.
I think that’s why I like the BD, it’s a little bit of Liberty for when I can’t go myself.

WhoaJayShettybambalam · 09/04/2024 11:38

I would like them to stock Maison crivelli though.

The details of the contents are on the website. It’s not a great box in my opinion!

rheasmummy · 09/04/2024 13:38

Waiting for the beauty box to arrive before cancelling. I joined to save for the advent calendar but is everyone spending their credit in case we lose it? I just can't find anything I want to spend £100 on and want to save it but a bit worried 😟

Thank you!

That’s an okay box for me. Aside from the first product. I just associate that brand with disappointing samples. Have never tried anything of theirs and been tempted to buy a full size.

It’s not a bad box, and I’d have been happy with it for free! I’m trying to decide if I’d have chosen to spend £15 on it though, which is effectively the cost per box now. I’m on the fence whether to cancel my subscription!

BlueLimeRun · 09/04/2024 14:16

I enjoy the boxes. I think £15 per box is fine especially with the free shipping plus the 10% off kits.
I’ve not had any problems with online orders and really enjoy my twice a year trips in store.

I had a slightly damaged item - was a homeware product (flaw in the pattern on the vase). Liberty replaced abd told me to keep the original.

Thumbs up from me.

How would you lose your credit ? I think very unlikely Liberty would fold.

HostessTrolley · 09/04/2024 15:06

Can you spend BD credit in store? And if so, do you just show them the bar code on an email?

Yes.

Revelatio · 09/04/2024 15:39

Is the April beauty box really going to be what’s advertised on the website (Malin cleanser, Bamford hand wash, face mask, elasticizer, teeny perfume, and CEO cream)? I’ve not seen them advertise it in advance before. I’m a little disappointed, I was hoping for something new and exciting. The whole point for me is to try new things and I feel I’ve had most of these before. I hate the elasticizer, it makes my fine hair break!
