Best Tinted Moisturiser or Light Foundation??

BaconAndAvocado · 07/02/2024 07:51

I'm 54 and use a NARS foundation which is great but I sometimes feel it's a bit too heavy for every day use - walking the dog, trip to the supermarket etc.

Any recommendations for a lighter look?

Tia.

Wanted to like Erborian, but it oxidises immediately turning my face bright orange.

Even in their own advertising before-and-after photos, the girls look orange in the after pictures. Clearly a lot of people are looking for that and they are not hiding it, but it is not remotely what I want.

Thanks all.

I bought the No7 City Lights (?) tinted moisturiser with a Christmas voucher and it's perfect!

I recently asked a similar question but you got more replies! :)

I used to use Nars which is great but I'm looking for something bit lighter, particularly for summer. Some good tips on this thread!

I love no7 bb cream. In the link box/bottle.

Thanks for the warnings about Erborian oxidising - I have been teetering on the brink of succumbing to the hype but I don't want to go orange Confused

NoHappyEverAfter · 10/02/2024 12:38

@Turkeyhen the nude Erborian bb cream doesn’t go orange.

It does on me as well. I can just about wear it at the height of summer, but not at any other time. Shame, as it is a great product.

I really like garnier bb cream. Excellent quality for the price.

Seconded!

I use a mineral powder over the top. (Currently No.7).

Interesting comments about Eborian - I think it’s the best thing ever, lol. Horses for courses where skin is concerned obvs.

WhereAreWeNow · 11/02/2024 20:48

Erborian doesn't oxidise on me either. It's not at all orange on me. I have it in nude and clair.

LindorDoubleChoc · 11/02/2024 20:54

I have a green tinted moisturiser I bought to correct redness on the cheeks. It wasn't Eborian, something else beginning with E? Anyway, I put it on and gently blend in and it looks great for a few seconds and then changes as if by magic to full-on Claudia Winkelman orange! It's so strange. Obviously I can't use it because I don't want to be orange all day, what a waste of money that was.

Some people love to be orange. I work with a lovely girl who believes she only looks "healthy" when she wears make up which, in reality, is full oompah loompah. She has been wearing it so long anything else looks wrong to her.
