Morning! I'm starting a new thread before I go to work as it may get filled before this evening.

Her and Fergie both look an absolute mess!

Lunde · 04/03/2024 13:51

It sounds like King Harald of Norway might be seriously ill. He was on a trip to Malaysia when he was admitted to hospital as an emergency and fitted with a temporary pacemaker. He has now been medically evacuated back to a hospital in Oslo. I wonder if it is near that another Scandi monarch might abdicate.

He is the 3rd, and oldest at 87, of the Scandi monarchs to undergo important surgery in the last 12 months. King Carl Gustav (Sweden, 77 years) had heart surgery last year and former Queen Margrethe (Denmark, 83 years) had major spinal surgery.

Haakon is 50 now proven stable so yes I do think Harald should hand over the reins.

Thinking now with Charles problems unless he can put them behind him it has the makings of a right mess. Camilla can't forge on alone for long.

LadyEloise1 · 04/03/2024 14:31

Does that mean CP Haakon will be released from the airing cupboard ?
Or do I have the right Prince ?

Maireas · 04/03/2024 14:47

Poor Harald. Yes, is Haakon coming out of someone's airing cupboard? 😂

OP posts:
Lunde · 04/03/2024 14:58

It's tricky with the timing for Haakon though as Mette-Marit has been pretty ill recently with Chronic Pulmonary Fibrosis and has been forced to take several periods of sick leave.

Maireas · 04/03/2024 14:59

Poor Mette Marit, that's a shame. She had been looking better until recently.

The Norwegians don’t have an extended royal family like other monarchies either, it’s literally just the king and queen and the heirs. But Ingrid is in her twenties so presumably she could take on more duties now. Through is she in the military at the moment?

justasking111 · 04/03/2024 17:02

Airing cupboard? Baffled here

Frugal Kitty (is it her?) has a crush on Haakon. We joke that she has him captive!

LadyEloise1 · 04/03/2024 17:46

I couldn't remember who it was. 🙈
I knew it wasn't @Maireas.
I actually thought it might be you @justasking11. Smile
Apologies @FrugalKitty

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 04/03/2024 19:24

@notsuchafrugalkitty brings Hottie (Haakon) out of the airing cupboard from time to time either for good behaviour or celebrations 😉

Apparently Camilla is "taking a break" from royal duties too now.

Eugenie and Zara return to the UK by private jet, along with their DHs and assorted others including Jeremy Clarkson and Madonna’s son. No sign of Fergie with them.

Considering that I dislike pink and really dislike floral prints, I'm amazed to find myself thinking that Mathilde looks really good in this dress. I wouldn't wear it myself but it suits her. She's on a visit to the Ivory Coast.

The other day someone on here mentioned that Stephanie could do with a slightly bolder lipstick, and I think the same is true here of Mathilde. She looks a bit washed out.

I’m laughing at the caption that says Zara’s hair was “styled” in a ponytail. She’s just tied it back like millions of women do!

The Tindalls aren’t strangers to accepting freebies or milking their royal connections either, are they?

MotherofPearl · 04/03/2024 21:00

Good grief, I forgot the photos for my post. Confused

I don’t think that bubblegum shade suits Mathilde.

justasking111 · 04/03/2024 21:06

I like the coat that the lady with Mathilde is wearing.

I'm laughing at the caption 'Eugenie looking effortlessly elegant' my Nan would have described that look as 'sack of spuds'

KillingMeDeftIy · 04/03/2024 21:32

Never have I seen the words “effortlessly elegant” and “plaid shirt” used in the same sentence!

I know. That is not her best look.

Effortlessly elegant is the Daily Mail's favourite phrase - even when it's blatantly untrue 😂
