Morning! I'm starting a new thread before I go to work as it may get filled before this evening.

Badly placed buttons on Eugenies' coat, nipple covers.

RomainesToBeSeen · 05/03/2024 09:14

Reading another S&B debate about the difference between 'comfortably elegant' and 'smart casual' I'd be fairly sure that Eugenie's outfit is neither. That coat is an abomination.

KillingMeDeftIy · 05/03/2024 09:28

I mean, she was getting off a plane so I don’t expect high fashion. But elegant it ain’t!

Eaumyword · 05/03/2024 09:39

Effortlessly elegant? Crumbs 😂 Hilarious phrasing! Eug looks like most of us do after a flight, bundled up against the cold and crumpled (albeit not on a private jet!)
I think Za looks so good in casual wear. I envy her fabulous slim legs which look great in jeans.

justasking111 · 05/03/2024 10:08

Eugenie has lost a lot of the baby weight well done to her. Those coats really don't suit anyone with that style of belt. The fabric is way too bulky. I always lose belts like that. In fact over the years I've dumped a lot of belts with clothing and handbag straps.

Sisterpita · 05/03/2024 12:11

I agree the coat would have looked better without the belt and lighter coloured buttons.

chesterelly1 · 05/03/2024 15:12

Well I think we can all look at Eugenie and agree that effortless and zero effort are poles apart

I'm not sure if I've understood this correctly but this article seems to imply that Kate won't be on official duties until Trooping the Colour in June. If so it's quite concerning as she must be pretty seriously unwell.

Plus poor us on the fashion deprivation.

justasking111 · 05/03/2024 16:01

The mint colour suits Sarah

Yes,, she looks better there. Are those odd shoes?!

Right! I couldn't make out what the design was!

There are several tabloid stories of her being driven by her Mum to school. The photos are awful pap shots, but she doesn't look well at all.

MotherofPearl · 05/03/2024 17:34

I like Leti's knit dress and low heels.

Maireas · 05/03/2024 17:37

Leti has worn that a few times, I do like it and I'm loving her low heeled looks - mostly!

KillingMeDeftIy · 05/03/2024 18:24

Eugenie’s coat. I usually love a Max Mara wrap coat but not this one. I don’t like the lack of collar and the top two buttons are far too nipple adjacent!

Eaumyword · 05/03/2024 18:29

Love Leti's dress, she looks stylish there.
Fergie - hmm. I like the mint colour and in theory anyone can dress how they like with no 'rules' but imho she rarely gets it right style-wise. Too short/too tight, bit eccentric etc! I do like her mad shoes there though!
Her best look for me was Harry's wedding if memory serves and was a lovely dark green dress/suit. Think she had a gorgeous navy one with pink accent too.

KillingMeDeftIy · 05/03/2024 18:54

I think Fergie buys “aspirational” sizes rather than her actual size!

Maireas · 05/03/2024 18:56

I do wish she'd get the right size. It would be so much more flattering.

This!💯
As I mentioned a while back - just buy your real size and cut the label out!
Nobody wants to look like sausage meat stuffed into clothing and I've also realised Spanx are the devil's work (see also sausage meat stuffed in which has to escape over the top)😂😂

SqueakyDinosaur · 05/03/2024 19:25

I liked the photoshoot Fergie did a couple of years back to publicise one of her romance novels - very Victorian, slightly steampunk in parts. Some of it was disastrous, obviously, but she looked great in a lot of the photos.

Gibs0nGirl · 05/03/2024 19:31

Those shoes are actually horrific!

GrouchyKiwi · 05/03/2024 19:36

I love Leti's dress there. It's gorgeous, and those shoes are lovely too.

Agree that the colour of Sarah York's suit is great on her, but don't like the rest of it, and the less said about the shoes the better.

justasking111 · 05/03/2024 19:48

I suspect Sarah has had trouble with her feet for a number of years. She wears a lot of slippers. So she makes them fun.

Kate should take note. Personally I love car to bar shoes but my back, never mind my feet have said no for a long time now.
