Those Uniqlo bags

I have 3, I love them, I don't know how I lived without them.

BUT...how on earth does anyone find anything in them? Nothing stays in the pockets, it all ends up in a swirled up soup of stuff and take ages to actually find something when I need it 😂

It could just be me of course, I'm prepared to accept that!
Maybe I'm putting too much in there?
looking at 4 lip glosses, mouth spray, gloves (one pair today but sometimes 2),tissues, 2 purses, tiny hand cream, house keys, tiny spray bottle, 3 half used packs of gum, 3 hair bands, plus probably some other stuff I can't see at first glance

I see there are new colours too sits on hands

I've found that the roomier the bag, the more I fill it up. I'm carrying a small Eastpak crossbody now that just fits my phone, keys and purse..
but I've still ended up with solid perfume, tissues, fisherman friends, small torch, body spray, 3 pens and a random bottle cap that i fiddle with sometimes like a fidget toy.
I think there's a few skittles in the bottom too... Saved for emergencies. 🤣

I'd really like a new cross body, but I can't find one I love at the moment.

I have purse, glasses,phone, diary, keys, mirror and lipstick in there. Mirror and lippy go in the little pocket.
I have 3 as well.
What new colours?? 🤣

Keep lipbalms and paper stuff in the little pockets. Then get a mini makeup bag from Claires or Primark to keep other bits and bobs together in the main part of the bag (I use it for medicines).

use something long (books, notebook, gloves) as a lengthways divider

It's also a bit different to the bag 99% of the population has... I've accidentally picked up someone else's bag thinking it was mine twice!

I use a small zipped purse for all the small stuff (hairbands, lipbalm etc). Then everything else is pretty easy to see. I have in mine:

I only use the pockets for flat things eg parking tickets, receipts I want to keep, got a giftcard in there at the moment, those things don't fall out.

I don't need to know about new colours!

The circle print half moon ones look like they come from ikea!

The drawstring one looks better.

I don’t like the marimekko ones, but they’ve just brought out some pastel ones for spring.

I can only use mine on shorter outings when I don’t need headphones / book / tablet / cardie so it’s easy enough to keep the contents to a minimum.

Buy a proper crossbody bag?

I'm obsessed with mine. It really is the perfect bag.

Re things getting lost in there, I personally use my own little pouches and baggies to section things up: a mini zipped purse for lip balm, a drawstring pouch for chewing gum, etc. Helps massively.

I have one it’s ridiculously great.

cannot justify more as own approx 50 handbags totes and rucksacks.

They are better than any cross body bag I've ever had.

I love handbags and have far too many. But ever since I bought the uniqlo handbag (intended for those days where I don’t want to carry an expensive bag) I can’t use anything. It’s like an amazingly light tardis!!

Can someone please tell me what is so amazing about this bag? Not a snarky comment, genuinely curious!

It’s just really light weight and surprisingly roomy.

I don't know how true it is but I was put off these bags as I'd heard they were fashionable with the teen boys you see on bikes (though the bags are usually black to match their clothing).

Nothing is more likely to put a teenage boy off a bag than if his mum is wearing the same thing!

They're not remotely like a teenagers bag of choice, most women wear them at hip length rather than tight across the chest, our boobs get in the way.

The bag is great because it is small an lightweight and the shape and softness means that it folds around your body and doesn't jut out or dig in. It does have excellent capacity for its size. A 500ml water bottle fits in comfortably and still leaves room for everything else. You can tighten or lengthen the strap to sit high on your body or at hip length. It's just a very good design for most people on the move.

I love mine, I have a black one. From time to time I swap to one of my other bags but after a week or so I switch back to the Uniqlo. It is very light, it looks small but I find it the perfect size. Mine contains

I use the little pockets for car and house keys so they're easy to find.

Most women I see have them just under one of their boobs, not at hip height, but you can do either or put it over your head and adjust the strap to wear it around your waist like a bumbag.

I wear mine just under my right boob (right-handed) it's perfect for seeing what's in there and getting things in and out and doesn't bounce around like longer cross body bags. I don't think there is any risk of me being mistaken for a teenage boy.

Eyeing up the lemon and pink ones. I already have olive, red and purple. Someone stop me…

I want the lilac one but going to Tokyo in a month so I might be able to get different colours there, and get it embroidered 😱

Controversial but I don't get the hype on the Uniqlo bags, I wanted to love it but it was just lumpy and difficult to find stuff in! Perhaps I overfilled it but certainly no more than the many, many Mary Poppins style tiktoks I've seen!
