Those Uniqlo bags

I have 3, I love them, I don't know how I lived without them.

BUT...how on earth does anyone find anything in them? Nothing stays in the pockets, it all ends up in a swirled up soup of stuff and take ages to actually find something when I need it 😂

It could just be me of course, I'm prepared to accept that!
Maybe I'm putting too much in there?
looking at 4 lip glosses, mouth spray, gloves (one pair today but sometimes 2),tissues, 2 purses, tiny hand cream, house keys, tiny spray bottle, 3 half used packs of gum, 3 hair bands, plus probably some other stuff I can't see at first glance

If anyone reading has decided not to buy because it's often worn as a high cross body bag and that isn't your thing, don't worry about that. The strap is adjustable and I wear it like all my other cross body bags, so it sits around my hip bone.

I would say give it a try in the high position though, that was putting me off, I am short waisted with a big-ish bust and had only ever worn cross body bags at the hip, but I am a total convert now, the high position is way, way better for me.

Same actually, I started off wearing mine quite low but realised it was both comfier and more useful higher up, and still looked ok.
Higher is better.
As a short person I dislike having bags with straps that can't be shortened as they're always way too low.

I keep things in little zip up purses. One for lipstick, balm and perfume. One for coins. Etc. All different shapes and colours. One for pens.

What was the point!

I keep looking at these but am out off by the material - to me it looks a bit shellsuit...
Anyone able to describe what it looks and feels like as I want to want the lilac one 😀

OP and @largeprintagathachristie you might have to order them online by now, but the two-zip versions came back (reduced!) last month. I much prefer this style.

I can fit a Kindle Paperwhite in the back pocket (but tend to use it for my phone and earbuds).

I can't spot them online any more, but I bought DH little zipped denim bags for batteries and cables etc from Muji. Slim zipped pencil cases would easily fit for cosmetics.

I think shell suits have a bit of a sheen to them, the bags don’t. They’re also a little padded so retain their shape even when empty.

Are we talking about those Uniqlo nylon croissant bags? I have one, only put debit card, keys, phone, bottle of water and tissues and its a mess. The banana hammock like floppy design caused me several mini heart attacks fearing I'd lost my belongings. The lightness and lack of structure are both a blessing and a curse, things could easy slide and fall off. You cannot just rely on your hands to slip an item back in because the inside feels just like the outside you have to eyeball yourself putting and taking out things off it.
In the end I retired it and have been perusing a Chinese Kiplings copycat off Amazon with a million zips and compartments to delight a Virgo and confuse the best pickpocketers.

The material has changed, the original ones were more shell suit like!

I've been trying to find a nice crossbody to replace my EastPak for day to day and dog walks etc, I don't know if this will do the job, but it's purple so I had to order one.. it's purple.. did I mention that? I like purple. 😁

When my Dd got one, her Manchester dwelling brother started calling her roadman. 😏She’s got about three now. I got a cheapo knockoff to use in school, moving from class to class. Put the kids right off. 🤣

The cheapo 2-zip bags are most definitely matt (but they are a lot more robust than shell suits). The material is just a bit crinkly.

I don't like shiny clothes so got the corduroy. Not sure if they'll stop selling them in the summer though so get one now 😁

That is the most awful bag I have ever laid my eye's on.

ohwhat teen DS says only roadmen (nike) and mums (uniqlo) wear crossbody bags. He refuses to get one.

My adult DS says my black corduroy one looks like a sexworker's bag.

My adult son calls mine a bum bag. I wear it high as I've a boob missing and it sits quite snugly. I also use it for flights - put all thr important stuff in, hide it under jacket and get away with just an under seat bag (Ryanair, I'm looking at you 👀)

It's almost magical how much they fit. In my one right now I have phone, keys, pen, notebook, lipstick, bike lights, scarf (small silky one) and a sweater!

It is amazing! But if you're trying to find one of those things while the bag is on your shoulder and you're still moving - how easy is it? 😂

I've just ordered some little mesh bags from Amazon. I'm ready to compartmentalise!

Can’t understand the hype over these ugly bags.
