I got some new things today. The jumpsuit is amaaaazing! It’s so nice, simple but really stylish- love it! Exactly the right leg length for me, taller than 5’3 will find it cropped .
the indigo shirt is lovely, I love the sleeve shape, it is too small though so I need to size up to a large.
very annoyingly I managed to forget to add the free print! And they won’t send me one so I am having to return and reorder.

Qweesh · 05/02/2024 17:03

Another vote here for the jumpsuit! It’s glorious. I feel very chic in it. It hangs beautifully and it’s incredibly comfy. I do think I might need to wear a vest underneath as the armholes are a bit gapey and I can see my bra, but otherwise I love it. It’s also very flattering and not at all a faff to get into. I’m 5’5” and it hits me maybe 2” above the ankle.

Alpacasoft · 05/02/2024 19:08

Oooh exciting about the jumpsuit.
How does it come up body length and size?
I'm a tall size 12 in non toast.
I'm looking at that shirt also @Snowyowl78

Qweesh · 05/02/2024 19:23

@Alpacasoft I bought the 18 and I’m a pear shape, it’s comfy with room to move. I usually find the jumpsuits from Toast waaaay too long in the body, crotch by my knees etc but this is just right, for me. I also have the wrap front jumpsuit and a pull say it’s similar body length wise.

Snowyowl78 · 05/02/2024 19:36

@Alpacasoft its a very similar fit to the wrap one, I don’t know if you tried that one. Mine is a tiny tiny bit neater in the waist than would be perfect but I think sizing up would be too big. Also I am planning to lose a bit of weight.
I got the size 12 which is my usual Toast size.
the shirt it small, so maybe size up.

Qweesh · 05/02/2024 19:44

@Snowyowl78 I also wanted the shirt but I thought Toast had sorted their sizing with this drop. Everything I’ve bought so far has been a good fit based on their recommendations. So if you feel you need to go up to a Large in the shirt that then means I’m buggered if you’re a 12 😭

Snowyowl78 · 05/02/2024 20:05

@Qweesh yes I thought that was a bit crap. It’s to right across the back. I’ll prob wear it as a jacket so I will definitely need the large. Im not a 12 in real life by the way, 14really

Snowyowl78 · 05/02/2024 20:06

@Qweesh too tight I meant!

TosstTastic · 05/02/2024 20:15

Just filled in the reviews for past purchases, and answered 'no' to recommend the company
citing the sizing....

Quietly excited about the jumpsuit....a must try.

Boo. This is pants. I thought to wear it as a jacket too. I like it but I might wait and see what else there is to come first.

Snowyowl78 · 05/02/2024 20:54

@Qweesh you never know you might be ok with it? I might check the labels later, maybe they sent me the wrong size!!

Qweesh · 05/02/2024 21:27

@Snowyowl78 I shall order it to try! I’ve been a bit gung ho lately and have kept a lot from this new drop so I might have to wait a little 😬Just waiting on the arrival of the Japanese denim trousers! 🤓

Snowyowl78 · 06/02/2024 06:52

@Qweesh ooh what did you get?

Qweesh · 06/02/2024 07:44

@Snowyowl78 a lot more than the last drop that’s for sure. I’m telling myself it’s ok because of that! And I have to keep my Kindred! The Flat Front Japanese Denim trews are coming tomorrow, and looking at my list I’m not entirely sure I want them to be keepers 😂🙈

I have kept:

  • Secateur skirt
  • Patch Pocket Olive Tee
  • Fracap Ankle shoes in Tan
  • Cabin Check dress
  • Cross front jumpsuit
  • Side button denim trousers

I have ordered (and returned):

  • v neck jumpsuit - not flattering on my tummy right now and a pig to fasten. Despite this I would try it again if I can lose a bit off my tum
  • Blue Stripe top Lapis/Oat - tried large fits ok except over tum, top narrows at the waist. XL huge everywhere.
  • Raglan sweatshirt in yellow - blah. Colour wishy washy, material felt cheap
  • Indigo workwear pants - nice but returned because legs weren’t same length
  • Panelled Indigo trousers - wouldn’t go over thighs.
Snowyowl78 · 06/02/2024 08:07

@Qweesh very nice! I’m sure it’s more than justified!
is the v neck jumpsuit the deep v new one of the jersey black v neck? I tried the blue jersey v neck one but I think I’m going to send it back because I think the black one works much better and is more versatile. I’d like an olive green one!
i also have the crinkle olive v neck dress but I think that’s also going back as I am between sizes and i way overspent in the sale

Qweesh · 06/02/2024 08:24

@Snowyowl78 sold a lot on Vinted lately so that at least covers some!

It was the deep v new one, like the dresses. I tried the dresses, both the Slate & Denim, and the straps were odd. In this they seem to have fixed the strap issue and it sits well, it’s a great length, it’s flattering everywhere except side on right now.

The blue in that jersey jumpsuit is lovely though. Ooo but yes an Olive would be fab, I was pleased they did the dress in Olive actually, it’s on my
list. I have it in black and find the tulip shaped bottom half very flattering

ToastCosILoveIt · 06/02/2024 12:09

Hey, I have been quiet on this thread for a while, working away from home for some of the month so very busy, but I have enjoyed reading the thread and listening to your descriptions of your purchases will alll sound very tantalising.

A couple of recents for me: I ordered the green velvet platform sandals after the sale and via the chat after having them in my basket and then letting the sale come and go. They don’t disappoint and I hope that I will wear them to party in with tights in the winter and possibly into summer with gold painted toenails.

I also cracked on my dithering around the Patch Pocket Painted Daisy Shirt in slate and blue and tracked it down to the Lambs Conduit Street store. It seems to have sold out everywhere else and so I was pleased to snaffle one which is winging its way to me now.

The next two years is likely to see me divide my time between city and a coastal location as I work in a hybrid way. I am already planning my Toast wardrobe that I will be leaving in my coastal setting and I intend to dig out all of the barely worn Toast purchases to use to create a very pared back Toast wardrobe for those times that I am either working or having fun in beach and coast side towns and villages. It is at times like this I thank God for the significant haul of clothes that I do have so that I can comfortably divide them between two homes and still look Toast perfect on all occasions 😀

I am interested to read about these Japanese trousers on the website: which ones are they please?

Qweesh · 06/02/2024 13:20

@ToastCosILoveIt I am very jealous of your green Chie Mihara’s. I wanted them but have nowhere to wear them. I love that you will have 2 defined wardrobes!!

The Flat Front Japanese Denim Trousers are these. They were on the site for a while and I had planned to order them but then they vanished. I contacted chat because I recalled there being lots of sizes in stock. I’m unclear why they’ve disappeared off the site but I was able to order via CS with the product code WTRUS06INDI + size

Have just repaired two Toast necklaces from a previous life. They've been on the to-do list for quite some time.
It's taken me quite a number of years to get round to this, so surely we must be heading back towards flinging a string of beads on just because!

ToastCosILoveIt · 06/02/2024 17:13

@Qweesh , those trousers look lovely (but I already have too many of a similar ilk from Toast).

mizu · 06/02/2024 20:23

@Snowyowl78 @Qweesh I'm going to try on the olive crinkle v neck dress when I next visit a TOAST shop, hopefully next week. I love the shape too.

Snowyowl78 · 06/02/2024 20:47

I tried on that indigo shirt again, I think actually as a shirt on its own it does fit. Since I want to wear it as a jacket though I’ve ordered a large too. And remembered the print this time!!

Qweesh · 07/02/2024 18:06

@mizu Ohhh, exciting. My closest shop is Harrogate. I suppose that’s a good job really. Let us know how you get on!

@Snowyowl78 Hurrah for the shirt! A bit shit they wouldn’t just send you the print.

@ToastCosILoveIt the pants came. I love them 🙈

Love the beads

No1Mousie · 07/02/2024 18:56

The spaced dyed jumper keeps on popping up in my insta feed, and I’m just blinking confused! The description says it’s hand-loomed, but It’s not, it’s knitted. Those are two different techniques that deliver very different fabrics, but why do Toast persist in saying it’s hand-loomed? Does hand-looming sound more artisanal than using a knitting machine I wonder …
