@Dee1224 What a beauty !

Dee1224 · 06/01/2024 18:32

Thank you! It got a parcel all to itself - not very green 😿but I like it.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 06/01/2024 18:34

Thanks everyone for the jumpsuit love. Definitely want to wear it crinkled @Snowyowl78 , maybe I shouldn’t count my chickens on the returns though.

New thread 🧵❤️

MsDastardley · 06/01/2024 20:24

Those of you who have bought the Greta dress, or any other tie neck dress, could I please ask how you wear it. Got the dress today, love the fabric but the tie neck is not my favourite style. I’ve spent ages playing around with it. I’ve come to conclusion that tied at neck works best for me. I would have liked to fasten just above the v but the ties are on the short side. I don’t like them left loose.

Noeggsontoast · 06/01/2024 20:39

@MsDastardley the Bryn abstract print dress has long and wider ties, all my others are the same length as the Greta. I wear them loose and tied including the Greta. I tie it just above the V (say 2/3 down) but it's only a one pass through tie. Not two knots if that makes sense.

No1Mousie · 06/01/2024 21:04

@MsDastardley I’ve only had a brief try-on, but I prefer it left undone so far.

FiddleFigs · 06/01/2024 21:33

Thank you for the new thread!

Even though I swore I wouldn’t, I dipped back into the sale and bought the humbug sweater, the brown round collar sweater and the forward seam cotton twill trousers. I suspect the trews will be too short for me, but it’s an itch I need to scratch.

I also just nabbed a Greta dress. I wore my green Mila dress today, which I absolutely love, and I think it’s a similar shape/style, so hoping it will a useful addition to my wardrobe.

AFingerofFudge · 06/01/2024 22:05

Thank you for the new thread @Countmeout !

I have had more (!) Toast items arrive. The creamy yellow Lavenham gilet- I wasn't really expecting to like this as much as I do, it was more of a scratching an itch so now I'll have to think about it - does anyone else have it?

I also got the indigo wrap jumpsuit which appeared the other day in a size 16. I am probably a 14 in this so it'll probably not fit but I so hope it does! It arrived this evening but I probably won't try it on until the morning. I will let you know how it is if anyone is interested!!

I must stop looking!!!

Snowyowl78 · 06/01/2024 22:27

@AFingerofFudge i have both of those! The gilet I got from the Facebook group and I’ve worn it a lot, it’s great as a fairly lightweight gilet that you can wear under most coats/jackets. The wrap jumpsuit is my absolute favourite. I’d keep it if I were you because I don’t think there will be any returns it’s been out of stock for a while. The ties mean it’s quite adjustable. I love it and it’s got the wow factor for sure

MsDastardley · 07/01/2024 07:26

Thanks @Noeggsontoast and @No1Mousie I’m definitely keeping it, love the print. Will see how I feel when u wear it 😀

oddandelsewhere · 07/01/2024 07:32

I definitely think I want the check dress in the email about the new spring stock on Thursday!

Noeggsontoast · 07/01/2024 08:07

@No1Mousie loafers vs scarf! Tough decision - the loafers are lovely. I still have them on my list, but I didn't buy them as I received some lovely new boots as a Xmas gift.

@oddandelsewhere that's a lovely colour palette on that dress in the email, reminds me a little of the wool big check scarf this season which also came in an orange palette.

@FingerofFudge that jumpsuit is my favourite, I've worn it so much. It's so flattering and a great shape.

@Dee1224 love your bowl display with the baubles.

Dee1224 · 07/01/2024 08:18

Thanks @Noeggsontoast !

I woke up at stupid o’clock this morning and put other items into my basket- jumper and pjs. However, an outbreak of common-sense has persuaded me to hold off on more - unnecessary- purchases- at least until I have received, (and probably returned most of), tomorrow’s arriving orders!

In case anyone else wants to sign up for these:

Toast live on Thursday at 1pm looks interesting - I have pre-registered. (I don’t remember ever being offered this option before.)

I have also registered for the free - to Kindred - art class - I can’t draw/paint and won’t be rushing off to buy oils, but will paint along with my cheap watercolour set!

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 07/01/2024 09:02

I registered for the Toast live on Thursday but I’ve realised I won’t be able to watch live, will I be able to access it later in the day or is it only available live?

Countmeout · 07/01/2024 09:15

I think you can watch later @Theteapotsbrokenspout . They did this once before and I think an email link was sent that you could go back to afterwards and rewatch.

or watch.

The colour palette is everywhere. Seasalt sent an email with similar colours.

Thanks @Countmeout

Countmeout · 07/01/2024 11:41

@Theteapotsbrokenspout I have just searched my emails and can still watch that kindred spring live. So you definitely will be ok to watch after.
Found it interesting that if the things they showed on that video I only bought the Alix birch and only in this sale. I think I’ll buy more from this years from what I’ve seen already.

I have decided to sell a number of Toast items (to fund my unexpected sale purchases Grin) - is everyone here on the Facebook/Toast selling page?

faustina · 07/01/2024 13:58

@AFingerofFudge - quite a few of us are! I think it might have been you I just approved - if so, welcome, and good luck with selling!

Noodle421 · 07/01/2024 18:54

@Countmeout Thanks for the new thread.
Has anyone purchased the new cardigan in either oat or navy? I tried on the oat in the shop and I thought it felt disappointingly thin, feels as though it could become misshapen quite easily. Anyone else have similar misgivings ? I love everything else about it.

ScottishMouse · 07/01/2024 19:36

Oh I really like the oat colour @Noodle421. I may in fact have ordered both that one and the similarly coloured alpaca mix poncho to try. I can’t afford to like either of them as well as the sale items on their way.
I have three parcels due tomorrow which will be exciting if they actually make it out of Swansea and get up here.

sonjadog · 08/01/2024 08:40

Do any of you have experience with Brora? This skirt keeps coming up and I really like the colour and material, but I am not sure it would fit me. I am usually size 18/20, Toast 18 usually fits, but I don't know about Brora...

My Leach preparation bowls arrived today, very nice, although a bit smaller than I anticipated. Included a free entry to the museum voucher which expired in December 2022 😆.
I also received the Liz Vidal abstract jug which I’m very pleased with.

No sign of any refunds yet, but I did get a despatch email for the Indigo Duffle Jacket.
