I love Louis hooking his finger through a button hole on his Mums coat. Kate looks amazing.

I think Kate needed some large angel wings

I love Pippa's suit.

I can see that Kate looks very striking and beautiful, but I'm going to part company with all of you to say I really don't like that outfit. I don't like the monochrome look, I loathe white heels, and the gold buttons on those trousers are awful. Sorry. Blush

I think it's a bit casual for the event. More daywear.

Bee Gees?

I'll get me coat 🤭

I love the Bee Gees! All very snappy dressers.

However, I was thinking more that this is the sort of outfit one of Charlie's Angels would have worn, it's very Jaclyn Smith. Therein may be a hidden message, actually!

I do not like the tartan dress on Beatrice nor Pippas' trouser suit. Kate just looks exquisite from head to toe.

Off topic, but considering there are no matching colours this year, I think it is safe to say last years burgundy fest was a definite nose thumb to comments about a so called 'colour etiquette.'

I think everyone looked lovely last night, though I agree Sophie's boots don't really work with her coat. (The coat is fab, though. I love a bright colour in Winter.)

Maireas · 09/12/2023 10:02

Yes, I loved her coat, and it is nice to see those colours in winter.

It’s a shame about the boots, because the rest of Sophie’s outfit was brilliant. Mind you, I understand the temptation for boots in church - they’re always rather cold buildings.

OublietteBravo · 09/12/2023 11:09

I think Beatrice’s outfit is also spoiled by the boots. Boots are obviously tricky!

hopeishere · 09/12/2023 11:11

I am lol-ing at Kate's face here!!

That’s the type of face I pull when I’m thinking “just behave…” and hoping they can read my mind 😆.
I love the off white- she looks so stylish, that’s perfect for her. I’ll forgive the gold trouser buttons.
Beas tartan has grown on me- not my favourite of recent outfits, but she wears it well.
I like Pippas suit, but personally would have just put the jacket with black cigarette trousers and different shoes- they’re not chunky enough to be chunky but too chunky to be sleek. I think.
All the children are so sweet, nice to see Edo’s son there too, we don’t see him often.

Loving Sophie's blue and those suede boots. Not keen on Beatrice's outfit. Adam Lambert 😄 Not keen on Pippa's outfit at all.

Edited

I like Bea’s coat but she wouldn’t be out of place in a Victorian Christmas scene.

I love the ‘no woman left behind’ spririt of this thread

(Apologies for assuming genders there Lady Eloise 😉)

No woman left behind + redistribution of tiaras - seems like the seeds of a revolution Wink

MrsLeonFarrell · 09/12/2023 13:18

There was a fantastic photo of Catherine lighting Louis' candle with family members behind them looking on with concerned faces. I remember feeling exactly the same when mixing candles and children in church.

I don't like the gold trouser buttons but otherwise I thought white was a good change from red. Beatrice has been looking lovely since she married, I never like what Eugenie wears though, she needs her sister's stylist.

Love this 😊

Do love PoW outfit. My biggest concern is grubby hems 😂

gluenotsoup · 09/12/2023 14:48

No woman left behind tiara revolution, eh? Sounds like time for the green coats to re-emerge. 😆

Sarah Chatto looks nice in a white coat, as well.

I love the overall all white look of Kate’s outfit but to me the material looks wrong for the season, it looks a bit thin and I would have liked to have seen a more wool texture for both the coat and trousers, the top she is wearing looks a bit drab and thin and the trousers with the gold buttons makes the outfit look unfinished, would like to have seen a belt and some gloves as well.

DaphneduM · 09/12/2023 17:04

I thought Pippa looked great - stylish but appropriate for the occasion. Beautiful suit, heels, clutch and sleek hairstyle. Kate - par for the course - she wanted to stand out and so she achieved her aim I guess. Carole Middleton - who usually is so stylish - an unfortunate short tailored cut to the jacket and the velvet trousers/jump suit or whatever it was could have benefited from being more structured. As someone of Carole's age, I am only too aware it's a very fine line to tread to be stylish and modern without looking as though you're trying too hard. So it's a win for Pippa in my humble opinion.

LadyEloise1 · 09/12/2023 17:11

@MrsLeonFarrell
I agree re Eugenie's clothing choices.
Mind you her wedding dress was beautiful on her.
