I think Pippa is very matronly in the way she dresses and that trouser suit was just awkward. The shoes and the length of the trousers were just off. Reminded me of Gemma in Corrie's sofa. Yes - bad viewing habits.

I agree re Eugenie’s wedding dress she looked stunning, I remember how joyful she looked to be getting married to Jack, and he was a bag of nerves which was sweet, it was a lovely wedding.

DisforDarkChocolate · 09/12/2023 18:35

I'd didn't like the winter white outfit either. It reminded me of all the annoying red, white or blue outfits we had close to the coronation.

DisforDarkChocolate · 09/12/2023 18:37

Charlene looking fabulous in silver today. She is accompanied by the saddest looking Santa. Honestly Monaco, you have enough money to hire a good one!

Charlene does look gorgeous! I love her hair, bright red lipstick and pearl earrings.
It's a Burberry coat, and although I like the style I'm never keen on plaid/tartan. She looks well and happy, though.

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene opened the 2023 Christmas Village

Princess Charlene wore a red ripple check draped coat by Burberry, and pearl earrings. Princess Stephanie and Melanie de Massy. Princess Gabriella

I love the overall all white look of Kate’s outfit but to me the material looks wrong for the season, it looks a bit thin and I would have liked to have seen a more wool texture for both the coat and trousers, the top she is wearing looks a bit drab and thin and the trousers with the gold buttons makes the outfit look unfinished, would like to have seen a belt and some gloves as well.

Agree. Good concept, meh execution. Pants all creased, too.

'No woman left behind, and no jewels left in vault' should be our motto. Given our heist planning skills we are quite the force to be reckoned with.

Christmas pictures from the Wales'. I quite like it although it's got a hint of Venture Photography about it. I probably prefer the more casual outdoorsy ones from previous years but I guess they have to have some more formal family shots.

The children all look so grown up.

That must be added to the list for the next thread title. 😊

That's a lovely shot. I'm always impressed that they manage to get a photo where everyone looks good, I wonder if they have to Photoshop different images together!

And I agree with above posters, Eugenie looked amazing on her wedding day.

Gooseysgirl · 10/12/2023 11:34

I think it's an awful photo... they photograph much better in their natural habitat of Anmer or an hols etc Or perhaps something related to their charity work. It was predictable that the K&Q would use one of their coronation pics and it's quite nice.

gingercat02 · 10/12/2023 13:02

I would love a full-on fun Christmas jumper type photo from the Wales' while the children are still young enough (just)

Sidebeforeself · 10/12/2023 13:09

im not keen. They do look like they are a genuinely happy family but I don’t like “ matching outfit “ photos

Sidebeforeself · 10/12/2023 13:10

Actually I’ve just remembered what it reminds me of! Did anyone watch Friday night Dinner? The family in that had photos on the wall of them in matching shirts and jeans!

Serenster · 10/12/2023 13:13

It’s Nobel Prize Day - there’ll be tiaras and a gala dinner tonight in Sweden, but the Norwegians have started it off by awarding the Peace Prize to Narges Mohammadhi’s family. Everyone was wearing dark colours - perhaps because the recipient in currently imprisoned in Iran?

ArcaneWireless · 10/12/2023 13:22

I too prefer the outside photos but as a family photo group it is still a nice photo.

Everyone is looking at the camera, everyone looks grand and that is pretty much what you could hope for.

Chez Wireless, at least one of us would be scowling, someone would have their eyes shut, one would be looking anywhere other than the camera or a combination thereof.

And if white shirts were involved, someone would have spilled something on it. And someone would not have been able to button their jeans.

And the very only photogenic hairy member of the family would be fidgeting and would quite likely be pointing the not so photogenic end to the lens. Tail up.

I don’t mind matchy photos - it takes away a lot of the ‘what will we wear’ mince.

Maireas · 10/12/2023 13:26

Oh, Chez Wireless sounds like Chez Maireas- anything white or cream does not stay that way.

i once went out and the main meal was spaghetti with a tomato based sauce. And I’d a pale silver silk top on.

I survived and quietly congratulated myself for not getting one spirkle on my front or sleeves.

And then I had coffee and missed my mouth entirely.

Tis allus the way my friend 😊

Maireas · 10/12/2023 14:02

@ArcaneWireless - you're preaching to the choir, sister! 😂

ArcaneWireless · 10/12/2023 16:26

That tiara is an absolute beauty.

I’m not sure the necklace is right for the frock/neckline. I would prefer it if the dangly bits were detached and shared amongst those on the spreadsheet of splendour

I know it has nothing to do with it but I would love to be able to look so serene. She looks beautiful.

Lunde · 10/12/2023 16:50

Victoria's evening gown - I think it's a rewear

Lunde · 10/12/2023 16:58

I am struggling to find a full length picture of Princess Sofia - the black and diamonds is a very elegant look but I too think that the necklace and neckline clash a bit

Royal Style: silk, stomachers, sapphires and plenty of sass
DisforDarkChocolate · 10/12/2023 16:59

I love Victoria in that evening gown, she looks fabulous in purple.
