Ooh I can’t recall what I was referring to! I think I meant each product itself won’t change your skin, but a consistent routine will. Personally for my skin (older, fair, freckles, don’t tan easily, have redness around the nasal area) are:
NIOD Fractionated eye serum
Oskia Vit c capsules
pixi glow pads (the wipe and leave ones)
Strivectin peptight - the skin brightening and the eye serum (use the former as a buffer before vit c or retinols and the latter after the NIoD serum)
any of the Elemis collagen range (love the cleansing balm)
Kate Somerville peptide moisturiser (a good dupe is the inkey list one as the KS one is ££££)
clarins SPF 50 daily (regardless of the seasons or weather)

hope that helps!

It does help, thank you! Ive just been going through things I have hanging around to check if anything has retinols and was very happy to realise some from 2023 calander do
I also found a small pot of Elemis cleansing balm and just used it before trying some products, funny you mentioned it: I keep all these things for one day or a trip away or a special occasion
Ive so many masks saved for a special occasion that never comes or I forget to use when one does or I can't find it lol:
I'd forgotten about Strivectin, I remember it coming out in France and everyone raving about it: Im not sure what I didn't like but I might have reacted, I used to to peptides but don't now: I might give it another go
I am very similar older, freckles, redness: I do tan but not as much as I used to
I've always used supposedly good products and pushed the boat out for AB but I am not sure it was worth it: Now looking for a more affordable range where Im paying for product over advertising: Im going to look at that eye serum you mentioned too!

I have used skinceuticals when they first came out but not much experience of them since. Their vit c (ferulic) is supposed to be fantastic tho so I’d imagine worth the investment. I think you can get 20% off when you sign up to their newsletter so that would make it more cost effective.

Without doubt, look at the active ingredient in ‘wonder one-stop’ products and then look at The Ordinary/NIOD/The in key list for the same active ingredient but as a stand-alone product to get the same effect. The peptide moisturiser is a case in point here - £150 on KS, £15ish on the inkey list.

Happy to resurrect this because I've now fallen in love with the solid ground lipstick
If anyone on this thread still has it hanging around that they haven't used let me know and I'll buy it off you
