I’m looking forward to, oh you smell nice, what is it?

Tom’s Ghost

er ok. Backs away slowly

😂

Our next door neighbour is called Tom and we think he's gone away for Christmas as we haven't seen the lights on for a couple of days. Maybe I know the truth...

I’ve just been looking at the Bibbi range on the Liberty website (£225 for 100ml seems so steep when they could just sell 50ml bottles - I feel the same about the LBTY range). The names are certainly interesting:

Ghost of Tom
Radio Child
The Other Room
Soap Club
Pistachio Game
Iris Wallpaper
Swimming Pool

I think they’re up there with Vilhelm Parfumerie for weirdness 😄

I ate at a very wanky restaurant recently where seemingly they owned no plates (not in the UK) and one of the dishes was called “a tribute to Hispanic goat herders”

Perhaps they got the same team to name their perfumes? 😂

Housewife2010 · 23/12/2023 11:22

There were four - Bibbi, Vilhelm, LBTY & Le Labo.

So it was! I’d forgotten about day one. I really like all of them too.

Went on a perfume induced internet wander earlier. Seems Bibi founder and Vilhelm Perfumerie fella are married https://www.wewearperfume.com/2023/10/02/today-stina/

The names and scents are inspired by her meditative journeys, apparently. None the wiser as to who Tom is though....

Today Stina Seger wears Radio Child by Bibbi Parfum - We Wear Perfume

Who:  Stina ”Bibbi” Seger, perfume creator and creative director for perfume brand Bibbi Parfum. Stina has co-founded the brand together with her partner Jan Vilhelm Ahlgren, founder of Vilhelm Parfumerie. It was three years in the making and is very m...

🥳🥳🥳🥳

The source of the scent is behind door 24…

Merry Xmas everyone!

RudolfsLeftToe · 24/12/2023 07:57

Love this door!
sorry spoiler alert!

RudolfsLeftToe · 24/12/2023 07:58

Sorry edited the above to get rid of the spoiler, apologies if people saw.

FrillyGoatFluff · 24/12/2023 08:48

Mines empty again this morning! 😩 really pissed off! Got all excited!

Fatlegs46 · 24/12/2023 09:21

Lovely! I was hoping for that!

Gnomegnomegnome · 24/12/2023 10:42

I love todays! Lit it straight away.

@FrillyGoatFluff that’s rubbish! You’ve had a few haven’t you?

@moogdroog I love that. I bet their house smells good.

clowniform · 24/12/2023 11:36

Also enjoying today's 🕯! (And opened tomorrow's as I won't have time then. No spoilers but I'm happy with the AC overall.)

From the aether, I have gathered that,
"Ghost of Tom “draws inspiration from the fact it is commonly known that 2% of the beings around us are not human,” says Stina, “and the only way to sense their presence is through their addictive tea-like scent.” Loaded with citrus, bergamot and cassis, the scent is offset by black tea, birch tree and black amber, channelling the ethereal beings commonly known as the Ghosts of Tom."
Commonly known nods sagely😁
I bet/hope Bibbi and Vilhelm's daughters are called, like Elsa and Anna or something equally normal.

Today’s candle smells of ………. absolutely nothing ( got covid 😷)
but the box is pretty.

Frazzgirl · 24/12/2023 17:35

What are people's opinions on this year's Liberty Calender is it worth it? X

Gnomegnomegnome · 24/12/2023 17:57

@Frazzgirl absolutely imo

Bimblesalong · 24/12/2023 18:06

I’ve really enjoyed this years - but have space nk for jadvent which looks an absolute banger!

wizzywig · 24/12/2023 19:39

For.me, pretty much all the brands were new. I can say that money wise, yes its worth it. I won't be buying any replacements as they're all too pricy for me. It's been a lovely treat and it's been nice connecting with everyone here daily.

StarShapedWindow · 24/12/2023 19:51

Merry Christmas everyone 🌟

I opened today’s and tomorrow’s and I’m very happy. I’ve loved this year’s calendar and will be buying again next year.

QueefofSheena · 24/12/2023 20:46

I opened the remaining drawers a few days ago as we are away. I was really happy with most things, especially the perfumes, Byredo lipstick, the serum and the candle. I did think this would be a one time thing but I'm going to keep the beauty drop and probably get one next year.

mum2three48 · 24/12/2023 21:16

I've been really pleased with the calendar. It's my first but definitely not my last. My byredo lipstick was broken when I opened it but I contacted liberty and they are sending me a new one. I like all the perfumes serums and makeup. Least favourite was the hair oil and clips. I think I will save my BD for next year's calendar

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 24/12/2023 22:27

I’m glad I got the Liberty AC. I had £240 banked in my Beauty Drop account and didn’t fancy the AV that much. In the end I decided to buy it and have been really pleased with almost everything - but not the hair clips.

Yeknom · 25/12/2023 07:29

I've absolutely loved the calendar this year. For me it's been better than last years from Liberty! Merry Christmas everyone x

Jellycats4life · 25/12/2023 09:00

It’s been a great calendar, but putting the ubiquitous AB Rich Cream in door 25 was a weird choice 😂

Netaporter · 25/12/2023 09:01

Merry Christmas to you all!

LOVED today’s drawer. What a treat x

I thought that as well - a slightly odd choice. Also, I was kind of hoping for more than one product from that big drawer!

Merry Christmas everyone x

Fatlegs46 · 25/12/2023 10:19

Merry Christmas!
Well, overall that was a good calendar. I agree it was better than last year. Loved all the fragrances.

I’ve now got a drawer of products to try throughout the year- I love that!
