Does anyone have a list so far? I threw away the paper that came with so that I could resist peeking ahead, but I think mine is a bit mixed up(!)

Bimblesalong · 15/12/2023 09:14

Having initially been a bit disappointed this morning on seeing the brand, which I don't see as "Luxe" (maybe wrongly?), I'm keen to see how the product works. Wondering about putting it on the backs of my hands as well!!

onthefarmwithwellies · 15/12/2023 09:26

Did anyone use any of the products before purchasing the AC? What's your favourite so far, mine is the mascara and the blush.

BIossomtoes · 15/12/2023 09:38

I used Luna when it first came out. I never repurchased it.

Fatlegs46 · 15/12/2023 10:02

Today’s is good for me. I’d be annoyed if I had to go and buy a new night cream in February after the calendar tbh. I don’t normally spend £50 on a night cream so I’m happy!

Bimblesalong · 15/12/2023 10:12

Gosh @Jellycats4life I'm appreciating it even more now!

Bimblesalong · 15/12/2023 10:13

... what can we layer with this night cream? Is it ok to use something like the Dr sebagh night oil with it?

Also, when layering products do we need to give each application time to sink in?

Here it is:

Don’t scroll past today’s window if you don’t want spoilers though!

Today’s product is worth £54!

Thank you, yes, missing a sturm moisturiser. I don't really want it but may email anyway.

Netaporter · 15/12/2023 10:45

@Bimblesalong this is a corrective cream to be used at night so I’d personally put it next to my skin and it probably won’t need another moisturiser on top. The Dr Sebagh oil we got last year is a retinol which effectively does a similar job so you’d be wasting both. Remember you need SPF the next day when using any brightening/retinol product.

Yes, allow enough time between treating and moisturising and between cleaning and treating,

Bimblesalong · 15/12/2023 11:01

@Netaporter my blotchy skin thanks you :)

Netaporter · 15/12/2023 11:40

You are welcome @Bimblesalong

A couple of points - you say ‘Blotchy’ which indicates maybe dehydration. See also ‘patchy’ . This cream is designed to even out skin tone where maybe you have sun damage/weather spots etc. if you think your skin may react or is sensitive, use artfully and maybe not every night. You might need a buffer on your skin to tolerate any brightening product like a hydrating mist. La Roche Posay have good ones. Used properly and over a slow introduction, acid toning then Vit c (AM) and Vit D (retinols etc PM) will even out your skin tone.

Buster27 · 15/12/2023 11:50

Looking forward to trying today's 😊

Bimblesalong · 15/12/2023 11:58

@Netaporter wonderful, thank you. At 57 I'm late to retinols, etc, although have been easing in over the last few months. I'm lucky on the whole with my skin but have noticed the signs of age in uneven tone, so hopefully this regime will help (along with healthy eating and good hydration). It is super to have such good advice.

Netaporter · 15/12/2023 12:44

@Bimblesalong i really wish I’d know about the power of SPF when I was younger… !

For mature skin, (I’m not much younger than you) I really recommend Strivectin Peptight range, NIOD fractionating eye concentrate, and the prai neck creams for AM and PM. I also swear by Elemis collagen range.

Gnomegnomegnome · 15/12/2023 14:25

I already use today’s night cream but always happy to have more. It really suits my skin

imp2007 · 15/12/2023 14:36

I've just tried the Luna oil used it the last couple of nights and like it - a couple of problem areas seem to look a little better. How are people using the Votary? Alternating one night Luna and one night Votary? Would that be a good routine? Want to get the most out of the Votary night star as it is ££££££ and I love their products.

casuarinatree · 15/12/2023 14:47

I already use Tretinoin every other night, so I've been using the Votary on the alternate nights and replacing one of my Tretinoin nights with Luna once a week.

steppingout · 15/12/2023 18:07

It sounds like we just put this straight on after cleansing and toning? Does it fit into a routine with Luna and/or Votary as above? And thank you to everyone offering advice - I'm only just moving past a cleanse/moisturize routine!

listsandbudgets · 15/12/2023 19:21

@Gnomegnomegnome I'm a bit confused. are you meant tonuse the REN on your whole face or just on the bits you want to lighten?

Thank you to.every9ne advising on this thread. Until a couple of years ago i was a cold water and SPF moisturiser person and left it at that and my skin was lovely but as soon as I hit 45 I found I needed to start doing more so this is a bit of an education for me

i'm looking at all these night products and wondering how long the people at Liberty think we spend asleep .. keep hoping for an.upmarket cleanser and another really good day cream then open the drawer tondoscover it's time for bed again!

imp2007 · 15/12/2023 19:59

Yes I'm a bit the same a nice cleanser and daytime moisturiser would be fab - well stocked up with nighttime products for the year though!! Grateful of the advice too especially around retinol and acid type products wonder what tomorrow will bring ? I'm certainly keener to get up in the mornings at the moment!!!

Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot · 15/12/2023 22:32

I don’t have a calendar - every year I debate buying one but I honestly think it would be a waste of money for me. I am pretty wedded to my skincare routine and don’t really ‘trial and error’ very frequently. I LOVE the idea though, and I love love LOVE reading these threads. Every single year I obsessively follow along. I know there’s not meant to be spoilers but could you all go into more detail please? For me? 😂 I’m living vicariously through you all, so thank you!

countdowntonap · 16/12/2023 07:15

Wow! We have a high value item this morning. I hope I don’t fall in love with it.

Bimblesalong · 16/12/2023 07:23

Oooh now this looks like a daytime thing to go under moisturiser. Is it everyday use to start with?

Gnomegnomegnome · 16/12/2023 09:03

@listsandbudgets I use it as a moisturiser over my whole face. Here’s where I’m told that I’ve been doing it wrong (I don’t mind if I am, I would rather know!).
