I got as far as smelling todays shampoo before i had to rush off.. it was lovely.

Poets of Berlin on today - DD asked who'd been baking

I love Poets of Berlin but it gives me a headache - gutted as Morning Chess has never affected me.

I love Davines hair care so I was pleased to try this shampoo, I used it with the conditioner we got a few days ago and my hair is extremely soft and shiny.

I’m still very impressed with this years contents.

Disappointingly small item for such a large drawer!

I was expecting something better today. It's something I own and do use I suppose!

Probably first thing I won't use . However my son uses this on his teenage skin .

ah well it'll do id run out of toner. such a miserable colour does not make me feel christmassy at all. hopefully it'd looks are deceptive.

First thing I won’t use either - I’m sure I’ll be able to find a home for it though!

I’m quite pleased with this as I’ve wanted to try this product. Amongst the skincare groups I’m in, it is a product which has a cult-like following ;-)

Big drawer and a little product. What a rollercoaster of emotions!

Mixed feelings: this is a staple for me so useful, but I feel beauty ACs should be about novelty and trying ridiculous sounding elixirs I would never otherwise spend the £ on.
(ETA 30ml bottle lasts me almost a year, using just a drop on my nose.)

Not too excited by today's, but I will use it so it's not bad either.

I thought I was being trolled 😅 That little bottle could have easily fitted into one of the smallest drawers. I pulled the shredded paper out looking for a second item!

I always struggle to fit acids into my skincare routine. I have a bunch of AHA/BHA items sitting in my stash.

This is the one I opened on the 3rd by accident - I'm still disappointed but at least it's a brand I've never tried before so it will be fun to experiment with it.

Well it’s fine- I don’t mind it but it’s more practical than I was expecting. I was also excited about a big drawer 😂

I've never used acids before - what would people recommend in terms of routine? Currently I'm using the Luna Oil, then Sunday Riley Good Gene's followed by a moisturizer in the evenings. Trying the SQ serum and BS face cream in the morning - determined not to let everything sit in stash!

For those confused about acid use - they should be after a double cleanse in the evening and after a single cleanse in the morning (assuming your skin tolerates it) and before any treatments are applied (serums/retinols etc) Acid toning improves the appearance of pores, eliminates dirt/debris that accumulates in the pores so is great at preventing blackheads.

@steppingout Good Genes and Luna oil essentially do them same thing but are applied at different times of the day, so I would apply the Luna oil in the evening and the good genes in the morning, both applied after cleansing and acid toning and before moisturiser and finally SPF (for the AM routine)

I already use today’s offering but pleased to have another mini for my travel bag.

Yeah, you don’t really want to apply retinol then an acid. It’s too much. Acid probably ruins the effect of the retinol anyway!

Also, don’t use Good Genes + Paula’s Choice because they’re both acids.

Today’s is exactly what I want to find in an advent calendar! A lipstick always feels like a real treat. And how luxurious is the packaging? It’s the heaviest lipstick I’ve ever seen!

I got Solid Ground. Haven’t tried it but it looks like a perfect neutral.

Commuter here too. Good wearable colour for me.

The packaging is beautiful. I really like the way the magnet makes it shut sad. I also got Commuter, it does feel like a proper treat.

This feels very luxurious, I love the heavy magnetic lid. Haven’t tried it - I notice the blurb said it takes a little effort to swipe it on so I might put a bit of lip balm on first for smoother application
