I’m sitting on my hands trying not to order the batik dress, I love it but I’m not sure I will have occasion to wear it! If it goes down to £150 I might reconsider! Glad people got stuff they’ve been holding out for!

agnesmartin · 05/01/2024 09:39

Thanks for the heads up on the restock.

I've sent back my first order - cream cord Hal and a cotton scarf. The jacket was shorter than what I was looking for and the cotton scarf not quite right for me.

I've ordered the check cotton wool pull on trousers. I think few people have these - do you think they are only for house and garden (as one review says) or would you wear them out for a lunch say? My life style is quite casual but I'd like trousers that I can wear out and look smart-ish in. Thanks!

Thanks for the restock alert. Just some more Angela Harding cards for me- I bought a pack earlier and they are lovely. I don't send many Christmas Cards these days so the ones I do might as well be really nice.

ScottishMouse · 05/01/2024 09:54

Just had dispatch emails for my two orders from Tuesday.

Snowyowl78 · 05/01/2024 10:15

Has anyone got the denim neat shirt dress and can tell me if it’s heavy and hot? I’m hoping it’s light like the denim wrap jumpsuit, but I won’t be able to wear it if it’s too heavy. Thanks!

Saurus72 · 05/01/2024 10:51

Aaarrrrggghhh I so want to order the cotton canvas project bag for my needlepoint. But it’s £45 for a really small bag, and i can totally live without it. I had the Leach bowls in my basket but took them out again. So lovely but no need for them.

WhompingWillows · 05/01/2024 11:05

I was thrilled to order a sheepskin hot water bottle cover: I like my home comforts!

For all the fellow Leach Pottery lovers, I have ordered a few (!) sets of the nesting bowls, plus jugs and mugs from a Seasalt/Leach Pottery collaboration (I think Seasalt actually sponsors an apprenticeship at Leach?)

Trinitybean · 05/01/2024 11:37

@dee they've said they're sorry they have immediately rectified their mistake, no movement yet.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 05/01/2024 11:38

My order from Tuesday has also been despatched, including the Leach bowls, hoping RM manage to get them here in one piece.

@WhompingWillows That's very interesting, I didn't know Seasalt did that.

Hot news! An assistant in a shop told me that there are more new stock items going to appear on Thursday. (I 'm waiting for the green gingham trousers too)

OftenOrange · 05/01/2024 12:05

@Dee1224For the blue dress, friend ordered in a size up from Old Toast and the fit was spot on .

I did too - the hot water bottle cover that is. I have one, as do many of my friends and family. Love em. Bought this one for house guests … or maybe an extra one for me! 🤦🏻‍♀️😆

Thanks @OftenOrange !

Saurus72 · 05/01/2024 13:36

My Greta dress just arrived - 12 much better fit though I preferred how the sleeves fell on the 14. If anybody has the Greta, do you love it? I’m not 100% on keeping it and I can’t work out why. Maybe it has something to do with the fact I tried it on over my joggers..? So cold though. If anyone has returned it, why? I’m on the fence atm.

I'm dithering over this.
I love the print but no idea how it looks in RL
Could you post a pic and we can critique??

Oh exciting!

There are a few new names, can we have a clue as to you are?

AFingerofFudge · 05/01/2024 13:42

@Snowyowl78 the neat denim dress is quite light but be warned it is extremely small especially if you are large of boob, I would size up if you are going to order.

Noeggsontoast · 05/01/2024 13:45

@Saurus72 I love the Greta dress but I have a couple in this style already. I particularly love the colours and print. I wear a m and s slip under mine and in this cold weather have picked out the burgundy with a cardigan from Brora for a warmth.

I'm not sure that my reasons are helpful though. Trying stuff on definitely needs to be with the right things and in the right light. I so wanted to love the geometric tie dress but as soon as I put it on I didn't feel right so I went with my instinctive reaction and have returned. I'd loved it for so long but it wasn't for me.

Love this, I picked it up in sale too…. It’s really flattering I think

Green gingham trousers!!! I’m hoped for those

Snowyowl78 · 05/01/2024 14:09

@AFingerofFudge ah maybe I’d need a 14, and it’s sold out. I’ve never had a 14 in any toast dress! 14’s all round in normal life.

@Saurus72 im still dithering mainly because I have overspent now with the restocks and have decided to definitely keep the embroidered one.
Reasons to keep- the print, comfortable, flattering, long sleeved, neater on the neck than my other easy dresses. Reasons to return- sometimes I don’t like wearing crepe and prefer the natural feel of cotton, I’ve also overspent! That said it is cheaper than a lot of dresses. If it went down to £70 I would definitely keep it

Snowyowl78 · 05/01/2024 14:11

@Saurus72 i think it looks great and if you wear dresses all the time you’ll wear this one.
I don’t think I’d wear it in the summer
