Oh no @Dee1224
Was it fireworks?
My Dcat is not particularly fussed but I know they can cause anxiety and distress to some pets.
I just shoved my earplugs in and went to bed 😂
Happy New Year!

Nothing else sale wise for me.
I would go for the Midnight velvet skirt if it was added

Dee1224 · 01/01/2024 20:22

@Alpacasoft - I think it was just bad timing - he often gets a bit manic after his evening walk, but unfortunately we left him to go out for a quick meal shortly afterwards. He just panicked but at least he was ok.

Here’s the furry perp- sitting next to me as I type!

I like that skirt too, but don’t know where I would wear it.

I am still debating whether to buy the Birkenstocks…

@Dee1224 you could not be cross with that perp for too long! How beautiful is he?!

Dee1224 · 01/01/2024 20:28

I know🥰

mizu · 01/01/2024 21:36

@Dee1224 omg I am not a dog person but he is gorgeous 😍

Dee1224 · 01/01/2024 21:39

Thanks @mizu ! He is a good boy really!

Has anyone ever seen the hogla baskets sold anywhere else? I was hoping some of the medium size would pop up in the sale, but they seem to be long gone. I think they are made by Maison Bengal, but so far I haven’t had much luck finding that size online. Thanks.

There are a lot of different ones in this Dutch shop, Originalhome:

Happy New Toastie Year All.

I am sorry to hear about coats being eaten and other mishaps. Here’s to a better 2024.

I had no luck with Uniform Research: I ordered the Donegal Persimmon sweater on 27 December as it was marked down on their website (but not on Toast’s). The order went through and they took the money but no sweater. When I chased the lack of dispatch email at the weekend, they refunded with no explanation so I assume it sold out. Bit disappointing but I had ordered it full price with my sales stuff and expect I will keep that as I really love it.

I have been dithering re the embroidered textured cotton dress. I ordered the small and the medium: small is the best fit bit, after trying it on in store and loving it, I am now pondering if I need it or should send it back. I am about to make a very big purchase (think house) and so wondering if I don’t cut back a bit and wear some of the Toast i already have and which barely sees he light of day. First world problems I know but just trying to balance the uniqueness nad loveliness of the dress against if i really need it and is it a classic Toast piece that will stand the test of time.

Saurus72 · 02/01/2024 12:57

Ah yes @ToastCosILoveIt - when you already have so many things a new addition really has to earn its place I think. Now I wfh so much, my Toast dresses are far less in rotation so a new one has to earn its place, tricksy to know sometimes what will be a workhorse. Annoying about your Uniform Research order - maybe it was the finance gods stepping in..? 😊

neveradullmoment99 · 02/01/2024 13:04

I ordered the velvet skirt last yearfrom uniform research in the sale. Same happened to me. They refunded and that was it.
Think it's also happened to someone else on here. It's very dissapointing and clearly need to be quicker to notify when things become out of stock.

Countmeout · 02/01/2024 14:11

Velvet on sale have just ordered. Crossing fingers I’ve chosen the right size as I really don’t want to order multiples.

Happy New Year, and yes new additions!

RockaLock · 02/01/2024 15:09

Oh no, I can't look for fear there's something more that I want!

I'd already overspent in the sales, and then Brora sent me a VIP sale access email this morning, so...

Snowyowl78 · 02/01/2024 15:11

Finally the Pleat Collar Slubby Chambray Shirt I’ve been waiting for! I’d have liked it more discounted though toast!
and er, the ochre cashmere wrap that I definitely don’t need!!

faustina · 02/01/2024 15:25

Was just coming on to say new additions! I almost bought one of the collared alpaca jumpers, but actually prefer the humbug one so I've given it a miss and made possibly my smallest order ever of some Palo Alto incense. I was given the leech bowl with Palo Alto for Christmas and love it so thought I'd get some incense in the same fragrance

Saurus72 · 02/01/2024 15:25

@Snowyowl78 The ochre wrap is a great buy! I had the olive one for my birthday (after umming and aahing for over a year 🙄) and I love it so much.

Nothing else appeals to me so that’s a relief. My smaller sized Greta that I ordered on Friday still hasn’t been dispatched, feeling very impatient now!

beetr00 · 02/01/2024 15:31

@ScottishMouse £14 here

Snowyowl78 · 02/01/2024 15:36

@Saurus72 thanks! I have a rust coloured one from Vinted ages ago which is lush.
note the alpaca tank is in sale, less than I bought it from Uniform Research last week only small sizes though.

Noeggsontoast · 02/01/2024 15:44

Happy new year all!

@Dee1224 I feel your pain, my ddog ate a very expensive pair of shoes as a puppy and I'm still upset about it, I couldn't replace them.

Thanks for the heads up re the new sale items. In my initial order I only kept one sale item (plus a pair of socks) the other 4 items all have gone back. This time I've picked up the Bryn radicchio dress and the ocre wrap scarf and a striped tee which goes with my ballon linen trousers for summer. There were some other things I was interested in but not gone into the sale. Maybe next time.

Look forward to hearing of your sale hits.

ScottishMouse · 02/01/2024 15:53

Thanks @BettinaInDenmark , I’ll take a look. @beetr00 i saw that this morning but their trustpilot reviews are awful.

I’ve also just ordered the chambray shirt with the frill collar @Snowyowl78. I also thought the discount on it was a little mean given that the other frill collar shirt new to sale is down to £80 from £135. Ah well.

I was hoping for some more interesting homeware, but nothing that jumps out at me.

Snowyowl78 · 02/01/2024 15:55

@ScottishMouse its really nice, I tried it at full price but thought it was overpriced. I was hoping for about £60 but I’ll still keep it!

ScottishMouse · 02/01/2024 16:03

I tried it much earlier in the season @Snowyowl78 and am not sure why I didn’t buy it, so I’m hoping it isn’t terrible on me.

OftenOrange · 02/01/2024 16:04

@Dee1224 So sorry for the coat loss. The perp has a side eye guilty look, but he’s too adorable !
Cats are as bad , my nice Northface puffs coat fell in the floor and the cat nestled on it all the while kneading with sharp claws, had to bin it …but it wasn’t new…

Happy to see the round collar Grass Alpaca jumper in the sale , trying 2 sizes .
I’ve far too many woollies but have a gap for something colourful .
