Just be careful if you use the print at Post Office option as 2 parcels I sent seemed to have labels that became detached. One came back to me and one was lost somewhere where but eventually refunded after they looked at it. It was very stressful.

@Snowyowl78 - I'm not sure - sorry. You just have to know what the tracking number is in order to be able to book the collection.

@Countmeout - yes I don't feel it's as reliable if you get the post office to print the label - they are tiny! If you have something downloaded you have an email trail from the start and you can keep eye on it all

@faustina thanks for this tip, I may start doing it this way—had my first parcel come back to me recently as the label had seemingly fallen off and had to return again.

Do they usually add new things to the sale after a few days?

Toast are now telling me that for anything to be price difference refunded you have to have bought them within 7 days of the sale! Peeved.

Yes, and my Kindred free postage appears to have been cut off mid-sale! 😱 So, if you think you’re Kindred and entitled to free postage, then please check your orders to ensure that you’re not being overcharged. I’ve had the postage for two orders refunded this morning and had a momentary panic - and feeling of indignation - when I was told I was no longer Kindred. 😆

@Snowyowl78 oh thats a bit rotten, I'm sure it used to be at least two weeks.

@WhompingWillows I was charged for postage too, and afaik I'm still Kindred, wonder if I've been expelled for grumping about sizing on MN 😂

@No1Mousie the customer service adviser told me I was no longer Kindred and there was a pause at my plaintive ‘but I got THE Kindred Christmas card so I must be’. I’m embarrassed to have been so pathetic. 🙈Anyway, it seems I am still on the Christmas card list and still Kindred, following a consultation with a supervisor. I can only infer that there is a glitch in the system as I placed four orders (things were disappearing before my eyes) and two went through with free postage and two didn’t. I tried to make another order this morning (two velvet seat cushions) and a standard delivery charge was still showing. I thought I’d share the information in case the glitch affects anyone else.

@WhompingWillows I must admit I was feeling a little abandoned as my card arrived a bit later than everyone else’s!

I think you’re right, it must be glitchy, I went back for another look (fatal isn’t it!), and didn’t get charged delivery on the second order.

@WhompingWillows I had this same issue yesterday. When I couldn't see the sale I added something to my basket and saw I was being charged delivery. I then got on chat and my account had been completely reset. I had no kindred and no email subscriptions. They fixed my account and all is reinstated.

The orders say I am being charged postage (I have a post pass) but when I check my Credit Card account I am not.

There are a lot of strange glitchy things going on. I am glad I am not working in IT / CS at Toast this weekend.

A couple of times in the past I’ve had a delivery charge deducted from my returns refund, so this is something to be aware of as well.

Neither did mine in the end @MiracleToast…

Morning. I've got the Toast chestnut, pear and bay leaf cake in the oven. Didn't have the right sized tin so fingers crossed it turns out ok. The last cake I made ended up in the bin.....

Apart from a few things that sold out quickly the other items on my wishlist are not shifting yet - we are away during the delivery time so I am not sure whether to wait to order for when I am back home or take the risk in case things sell out.

I am looking at the neat indigo denim dress and the Astrid dress (the green check one).

Looking forward to hearing all about the sales purchases and if I don't get back on before then

Morning all: I woke up at 5.15 this morning 😱and finally felt well enough to ice my Xmas cake. Goodness knows what it will taste like, but I have tried! @MrsCat1 - please show a pic of the cake. I may have to try that in the NY.

Re: Orders - as Toast started their sale so close to Xmas, I don’t expect they have many people working atm. I haven’t had a despatch note, so am assuming/hoping that the warehouse will leap into action on 27/12 and that delivery details will be forthcoming. I checked my cc and payment is described as pending - usually the money goes straight away, so I do hope that these IT glitches don’t mean there is a problem.

In the meantime: Merry Christmas 🎅 in advance, everyone!

@MrsRadichio I've got that dress in the green cord (was a sample from SM) and it's a lovely fit and very comfortable.

A day of baking/food prep for us too. OH prepping veggies and I’m making the meringue for a pavlova plus dough for Stilton crackers that I’ll bake for the cheeseboard tomorrow evening - both v reliable Nigella recipes from years ago.

Has anyone tried/does anyone have the check crinkle dress https://www.toa.st/products/check-crinkle-cotton-dress-copper-ecru? It’s so funny because I remember when they were first added to the website thinking they looked awful, really dowdy. But I then saw one in a store and the fabric is lovely. Might be perfect for wfh because the top looks like a smart shirt. Any views gratefully received.
