General “waifs and strays” beauty advent calendar opening thread

As in previous years, this a thread for those opening Beauty Advent Calendars not covered by specific calendar opening threads (though also happy for contents of those to be shared here too).

As previously, it will also be fun to hear about other calendar openings - food, jam, socks anyone?

Please do not include spoilers before 7am on the relevant day. Please also avoid dropping hints or spoilers about future contents if you have opened the calendar in advance.

I’ll be opening the Vogue and Selfridges calendars this year. Really looking forward to Day 1.

I have got a real stray in the calendar department: the Paxton and Whitfield Cheese Advent Calendar. This thing is really well thought out. 3 deliveries (8 days in each) and enough cheese for 2 to share. Pairing notes supplied. Preferred yesterday’s ewe milk cheese to today’s unpasteurised Cheshire but really good way of discovering something new.

Wow, those tights are very bright! I wonder if they'll include the Care Bears pair I saw once, or if they sold out...

My sister-in-law law has very kindly sent DH and me a Pact coffee advent calendar as a surprise! 😊 Coffee is essential for both of us, so it was a good choice on her part! The first two days were both 'fruity' and quite light - one from Kenya and the other from Brazil (we've opened them both today after the delivery arrived).

It had better not be full of awful ones they couldn't sell. Yesterday's were okay, I guess.

@Dogsitterwoes I was very jealous of your snag tights calendar.........now ever so slightly on the fence 😉. But suppose you can always wear some under trousers as layers!!!

I got a FatFace socks 12-day one once as a present. Trouble is, all the socks were Christmassy!

Those tights look like you should be trapeze swinging in a circus…you could always eBay them to a Ukrainian tightrope walker..go down a treat 😁

Ciate is a pastelly pale purple. I'm actually wearing yesterday's red varnish at the moment!

And the Pukka tea bags of 2 called Joy which is lemony apparently. I've was out of the house from 8am to almost 9pm and I don't drink anything after 9pm so will try it tomorrow.

Those tights have just made me weep with laughter 😆

I definitely think the tights are going to be the star act on this thread.

I'm just following the thread as I don't have a calendar, but I'm enjoying seeing what everyone else gets.

And I may be over invested in the tights 😂
