What's classy for nails

I'm travelling to London in a few weeks to see my son. While I'm there I'm meeting his girlfriend's parents for the first time. We're going out to dinner. They are a few years younger and a lot wealthier than me. I have no hangups about that. I'm a confident career professional myself..but they are very wealthy financial services people. I will very much go as myself but do want to get hair and nails done. My style is understated so definitely no bright strong colours, no nail extensions so will be quite short..any recommendations for what's low key and classy in my 50s

Tough to beat short flame red/orange nails. I'm not 'glitzy' either and have gone with a petrol blue / navy recently. Nails v short.

Have a look in Pinterest. I get my nails done every three weeks no extensions and always check Pinterest. Currently pumpkin orange next will be navy then Christmas 🎄 then Nye fireworks 🎇 then usually yellow for Jan green for Feb and duck egg for march. Yello again for Easter 🐣

Personally I like short nails in classic matte colours. Something autumnal, like a deep reddish/brownish?

Currently very on trend is natural / no polish polish - so essentially nude or pinky natural but groomed, neat cuticles etc.

Short nails - dark burgundy polish, bright red or a nude.

Short nude nails, or short rouge noir.

Orange or blue nails are not classy in my opinion. A nude colour or a bright/dark red are your best bets, and gels so they're not chipped.

If you want classy you want them quite short, literary just a few mm past the end of your fingers, beautifully manicured and in a pale pink or beige. Or - if you can keep them pristine a very dark blood red.

I either have short classic red gel nails, a slightly deep red (opi red or something similar) or I have just started having nude builder gel (biab) plain in The Gel bottle brand colour teddy.

I've had nail art and it isn't really me.

Right now the teddy BIAB is much more current.

If you do have builder you will need a removal appointment too.

I know it's boring, but I would absolutely go for plain nude / pale pink nails.

Maybe Essie Mademoiselle.

(Not a "French manicure" - these are not classy imo.)

A lot of my friends are the kind of people you describe, and this tends to be their sort of look.

Nude is what I'm seeing.

Painted/art nails are out.
