Thanks so much OftenOrange was asking about that top on here and this is great feedback agree it seems v steeply priced for such a small garment but if it able to bring life back into tops and dresses sounds like it might be worth a punt

My green cord trousers arrived and the colour is 😍. They are a super match for a Brora scarf I bought in their summer sale.

Im not sure about the dropped crotch though - if I keep them I may decided to raise it up slightly. I think that should be possible…… would also switch out the strange cream waist tie with something nicer.

I have a question about the sizing in the Blundstone lug boots. Has anyone got them? I ordered my usual size 6 but they are massive! Trying to decide whether to order the 5s to compare. Anyone else in this conundrum?

I really like that buttoned take @OftenOrange but imagine it will do for me what the non buttoned versions do, which is not a lot of good. I'd love to see pics if you get a chance.

@beechwoodmouse - they do go beautifully together, and you've just reminded me of a green tartan chartouche (big scarf) I have from Brora which I will now go and dig out from my wardrobe - it's definitely that kind of day!

@MiracleToast - I had the exact same problem with those particular Blundstones - I am never a five, always 5.5 or 6, but I re-ordered in a 5 and they are perfect, with room for thick socks.

If anyone remembers my Toast gown mending issue, it's on its way back home from Harrogate via DHL. Very excited to see what they've done!

I can’t imagine how altering the trousers will be , I do envy those who can envisage and bring to completion these clever tweaks .
I do get not liking the white draw cord , quite a few companies stick a white one on some otherwise classic piece . Even I could fix that
@dudsville I’ll take some photos with and without the tank , see what you think but I can’t imagine it wouldn’t suit you.

@ToastCosILoveIt Hope your new job is going well. Please can I ask how you are getting on with your tasselled Sturlini loafers. I have a high instep so am worried my heel will lift up when I walk . They don’t seem to stock them in my local shop otherwise I’d try them on. I love the colour. @faustina im looking forward to seeing your repair too. I’ve seen some lovely examples of Toast repairs with friends clothing. Did you take a before pic?

@Noodle421 - unfortunately I didn't take any before pics. I should have done. It's a really lovely style - they don't do them anymore or I'd have bought another. It's like a kimono, but has a much neater silhouette because instead of tying in front, the belt is fixed to the gown and threads through an opening on one side, then you wrap it round and it ties like that - like a wrap around cardigan if that makes sense?

I wish I had taken before pics now as you can't really see how wrecked the sleeve was before. There was a lovely little note too, explaining what she'd done and advising me to wash only on delicate from now on
