Hello - thanks for the nudge on the Christmas draw. I went for cardi, decorations and stamps.

Question pls for anyone who’s had a plastic zipper on a dress or specifically the draped cotton linen utility dress (slate) - have you had problems with the zip? I’ve not had a chance to wear it out and it’s gone already!

Also - is this something they’d repair?

I’ve sent two jumpers in and they did a good job but both or them were quality issues (seams) rather than wear, tear ,or god forbid, moths. Really appreciate they offer this service but would also rather the clothes didn’t need mending after so few wears.

I am doing a pretty job of sitting my hands and not buying anything though I very nearly pressed buy on a few things last night.

Sparkly sock day. And have put another hole in my Mary Janes. But worryingly my haircut looks like my P1 picture. Obvs more wrinkly now. Not sure about the overall effect. Wearing them with wool Alix from sale and cumin Francis T.
Hope everyone gets what they want on their wish list if not via Toast via Santa.

Lots of Xmas decorations have appeared at SM - a bit of a discount on full price - e.g. papier mâché baubles £5-6 instead of £8.50, garlands £13.50 instead of £18. Wrapping paper £2 instead of £4.

No joy for me re: clothes, so got consolation socks and baubles!

Hi @Snowyowl78 - sample sale at SM is next week - cupboard is completely bare of all samples at SM atm - they are waiting for the event next week -Grrh!

@Dee1224 Even consolation socks are worth the early morning, it sounds like great fun .
I carry on thinking I should buy those socks every time I feel like placing an order !

Several well-being baskets at SM today - soap one £28, one that is missing soap is £44, the mushroom picking item is £70 and the complete well-being is £75.

Also a craft bag.

@PretLea as promised: not much on the jumper front, unfortunately.

The two clothes racks are sizes xs-10 and the coats are mixed.

@Snowyowl78 - sample sale is on 10-11/11 at Kilver Court - I went back in to ask.

I have already booked the day off next Friday for the sample sale 😁 and am planning on being there in good time. Can you tell I'm excited!
Usually meet an old uni friend there who lives not so far from SM so have mentioned it to her.

It'll probably take me 1.5 hours I reckon.

i have emailed them to find out if everything goes out at once on Friday morn. I will try and get there in the afternoon I think

I am trying to persuade my OH to drive me on Friday but I am not hopeful as it’s 2.5 hours each way and not very sensible! Plus he had to drive back to our house mid holiday this week as the garage windows blew in!

ive been to sample sales before which are manic, but never a toast one

@Snowyowl78 - I went to the charity pop up in early 22, which was manic, crowded and very badly organised for the first few hours of day one. However, it was brilliant!

I then went to the SM sample sale in April 2022, (where I recognised some of the same stock at double the price). It was busy, but civilised and quite good.

Thanks so much @Dee1224 for checking for me and for the photos. I quite like the look of one or two of the coats, so I’m going to give them a call this weekend.

@Snowyowl78 I have been to a couple, but they have been called small sample sales.....this one is winter sample sale (no small in sight) hence my excitement 😁 not so bun fighty (takes me back to the heady days of NCT sales which were brilliant but full of bun fights often with little ones in tow!!) but I reckon they'll be quite busy throughout the day.
