@clowniform I went to my nearest big town yesterday and I was really disappointed with the quality of some of the clothes on sale. John Lewis now have a Passenger concession and I was looking forward to trying their cord trousers, but they were so thin, and not cheap.

Oh I love the win your wish list competition each year and was delighted when @Laska2Meryls won last year…. One of us!
I went for the cardigan, the scarf and the block printing set. Fingers crossed!

Hellllloooo, I have not been on here for a while but dropping in with a query...those of you who bought the indigo cotton twill wide leg trousers - do you rate them and have you been wearing them in the colder weather? Am tempted as the larger sizes are back in stock but wondering if they are more of a summer trouser?

@PretLea - Toast do Xmas decorations but I didn’t see any at SM. They had very little homeware and not much stock generally, when I went last week - I think they are saving stuff for their sample sale next week. I will have a look tomorrow though.

I got four baubles in the Toast charity pop up in early 2022. They came in a cute little cotton bag and cost £5. (I got in late, but the previous descending hordes had missed them as they were stuck on their own at the back of a top shelf!)

Excitingly - I have also just placed an order. I’ve been dithering over the double cotton night dress for ages. I spend ages trying to juggle my shopping basket so I can make the overseas free delivery threshold, but only with things I really want/need.
The beautiful green cords that popped up yesterday were the perfect item - am hoping they are as good in real life.

Both of the below look very, very cosy.

Slightly daft question for those of you with Gabi trousers. Are the back pockets fake or real? I thought perhaps they were just sealed with the stitching that keeps pockets/vents neat in shops etc but they seem quite robustly/double stitched so maybe they're not meant to be opened 😅

Embarrassingly I am at SM before it has even opened. First time I have been early for anything for a while!

My oldest DS has been in Japan and Korea for the last fortnight and messages me from 3am onwards, (basically from whenever he’s leaving the hotel to go sightseeing!) I am blaming exhaustion for whatever I buy in a minute (after two hours’ sleep😱)

Jealous…of your SM sample sale and your DS’s extended trip to Japan: I have been once and I am hoping to take my girls next summer (post-GCSEs), thanks to a bequest from my lovely dad, who died in the pandemic.

I ordered and sent back the black denim flat front jeans.. too wide everywhere but waist which was tiny and far too heavyweight.. I ended up with a very different pair of black jeans, the ever- trusty JL And/Or silverlake jeans which are just perfect for my shape ( my third pair!)
I also ordered and sent back a smaller linen silk blouse in canvas .... Its really lovely but too expensive to for me to justify atm ( and I have everything crossed that it will be in the sale). But the mango boat neck tee in my size popped back in after being oos for so long and I swooped on that this morning..
