Does anyone want to come on my Upper and Lower Bleph and Necklift journey with me?

Having it done this Saturday. I booked it about 10 weeks ago, after dithering for a year or two. I'm almost 54 years old. Eek!

I’m going to follow - I’m only mid 40s but my eyelid sag is getting worse and think this might be a road I go down.

deltablue · 17/10/2023 18:13

I had upper bleach years ago and was really easy and good results. Watching the neck lift with interest! Good luck!

Thanks everyone. Had a consult with the actual surgeon the other day and he thinks a facelift is needed as well. Maybe just lower, because I have marrionette lines and the corners of my mouth are extremely downturned. I will be taking his advice, as I really don't want to do half a job and feel I've wasted time and money. Only 2 days to go!

To OP and others who have procedures done can I ask what motivates you, are you in the public eye, is it your job, other reasons?

I'm not being goady just curious as it always seems really risky to me ....there are so many nerves and muscles and I'm a real wuss when it comes to anything medical.

loseweightpleasegod · 19/10/2023 11:57

Are you a normal BMI? I would only have work done if I was a normal BMI. Just wondering as I can’t tell from the face picture.

I'm a bit heavy. Just over 11 stone. 5 Ft 3. I have been heavier than this when younger, but never did my face look like this.

Surely they can't upgrade you to a facelift and still only use local anaesthetic? Or did you mean go back another time for the facelift?

Good for you OP, I had a full abdominoplasty when I was 36 and I've never regretted it. I keep considering some facial work now that I'm in my fifties

CollagenQueen · 19/10/2023 12:03

AgnesX I used to feel very attractive, and I just feel quite hideous these days. I don't want to keep feeling like this. It's as simple as that really. I just don't feel myself.

MissSmiley Yes, it's still a local.

Have you had your thyroid checked? BMI around 27 is okay just make sure you’ve had your thyroid checked too.

CollagenQueen · 19/10/2023 12:10

I'm waiting on the new price. I think it's going to be circa £10k

A poster had a lower face and neck lift a couple of years ago and got really good results!

here

CollagenQueen · 19/10/2023 12:13

I read that posters thread yesterday - very good results indeed!

Yes didn't she! I will be following you op I am 51 and am considering this. Good luck!!

CollagenQueen · 19/10/2023 12:15

I am swinging between thinking :

"What the actual fuck are you doing?"

to

"This is a great surgeon, this will be worth it and you will be so glad you did this for yourself"

Eek. If only we had a crystal ball and could see in to the future. That would take away the angst!

Thank you for this.
I have an appointment next week for consultation re upper and lower lids. I'm doubting this now as I don't want to feel the need to get the rest of my face done so that it matches!

EarringsandLipstick · 19/10/2023 12:22

I think it's positive you're doing this OP as it clearly means a lot to you ...
I'm just wondering if they discussed the weight issue with you at all? Did you consider losing weight first - I would have thought that would have impacted on the jowl issue?

CollagenQueen · 19/10/2023 12:25

Re the weight thing, I have jowls that won't go away with weight loss. They would most likely get worse. I guess I could try to wait until I get to 9 stone, but in all likelihood I don't think Ill ever be that light again. Maybe I should have waited. I don't know.

wwyd2021 I know what you mean. I was only going to have eyes done. Then you start to notice all the other things you don't like. It's cheaper to get things done at the same time. But I also figured I'd rather only have surgery once and be done with it. It's scary enough without doing it multiple times. Also, I'd rather just have one recovery time.

Hi @CollagenQueen I am also 54 and had a thread lift 2 weeks ago, it's my 2nd one. I'm happy with the results but they are suttle. Good luck to you, I am very tempted to go for a face lift but haven't got the nerve quite yet.

Best of luck xx

Purplecatshopaholic · 19/10/2023 12:50

Good luck op, I look forward to seeing the After pics.

F1ymetothetoon · 19/10/2023 13:38

All the best for your procedure @CollagenQueen I look forward to seeing your after pics.
