Having it done this Saturday. I booked it about 10 weeks ago, after dithering for a year or two. I'm almost 54 years old. Eek!

Wow! That price is amazing, I have seen 10k+ for the neck lift alone.

Thatwouldbeme · 17/10/2023 10:11

Good luck, I hate my neck it's gone loose and waddley

CollagenQueen · 17/10/2023 10:15

I haven't told anyone in RL, except my adult children, my DH, and one of my customers who I'm close to, and who I can't avoid seeing me on day 3. I absolutely will be honest though afterwards, if it's a very noticeable result. My other customers know that I have a week off work, for a small cosmetic procedure, but haven't probed.

We're all going to be booking in if you give a glowing review, OP 😅

CollagenQueen · 17/10/2023 10:17

The price is less if you have two or more things done at once. I guess once you have the surgeon there and the staff and the room etc, it pays to just get stuff done at once, so they make a reduction to the price. For me also, I'd rather just do one recovery period as well.

Good luck! I can’t wait to see the results.

CollagenQueen · 17/10/2023 10:19

I have wondered about doing this for ages, and thought this might be helpful to others. Although if I'm honest, I was in two minds whether to post here, as that makes me nervous as well! Buy hey, I figure I'll post from bed when I'm recovering and it might spur me on as well.

I'll be following along and cheering you on!

I'm sure it'll be a positive outcome. I hope it makes you feel fabulous!

If you are a bit squeamish you may only want to read this first paragraph. @CollagenQueen I am 6 week post op from upper bleph. I am incredibly happy, I look far less tired. My upper lids rested on my eyelashes, worse on one eye where I totally lost the entire part of the lid where you would apply eyeliner. My eyes were different shapes because of it, one was more rectangular in shape. They are far more even now. I am 49 if anyone cares. Cost was £2k. I will see if I can upload photos later today but they definitely have geo data in which I will need to remove.

The op itself was completely fine. The local anaesthetic had adrenaline in which I only found out when my heart started racing Grin The local injections in my eyelids were a bit stingy but I knew it would be over in a couple of minutes. I couldn't feel anything, I thought I would feel them cutting but nothing. The worst part for me was they removed the fat pads in the inner corner of my eye and I could feel tugging, not pain but it felt wrong if you know what I mean.

Recovery has been good, I bruise like a peach so although I had seen a lot of before and day 1 post op photos none of them prepared me, Dh or my children for how bad mine would be but there was no pain the next day. Just tender the first day and I was told paracetamol only, no ibuprofen. I have very smooth scar lines, have been applying silicone gel that they sold me. The recovery has been sit down and do nothing. I bought those plastic covers for my eyes as I knew I would touch my face in my sleep. I taped them on for almost 2 weeks. I am only at the stage now where I can very gently rub my eyelid. The clinic told me not to touch my eyes for 3 weeks for the best recovery.

Best of luck to you, I hope you are pleased with the results.

barbarahunter · 17/10/2023 10:47

Just remembered something else, too: the eyelids will heal at different rates, this means that they might not look even for the first few weeks, and apparently it takes them up to a year to fully heal and even out. There was a point where mine did look a bit different to each other early on, but they were never that bad, and healed really well. Frankly, they even looked better when I woke up from surgery - that's how much they were saggy before!

CollagenQueen · 17/10/2023 10:47

That sounds very encouraging dawn, thank you. Glad you love your results too!

Yes, my eyes are currently a different shape to each other anyway. They used to be lovely eyes, but post 50 things went South! 😂

Do you get a new eye shape post surgery or does it look more like your eyes a few years ago? 🤔

CollagenQueen · 17/10/2023 11:40

I really hope it just turns back the clock, so I look like I used to.

I can only speak for myself but they looked like they used to a few years ago. It's funny, I had forgotten that I used to have that other face. I was actually overjoyed and never regretted it for a moment.

TheLonelyGoatTurd · 17/10/2023 15:23

I love the scribbling out on your ‘before’ photos, OP, it looks like you were trying to disguise an identifying top hat. Grin

Aurora2023 · 17/10/2023 15:55

I'm very excited to see the results ! Good luck. This is something I've been considering for months so I can't wait to see ! Xx

Valerianandfoxglovesoup · 17/10/2023 16:10

I had this done with jaw and neck lipo. 3 surgeries, upper, then lower then neck. All are bearable but a bit ick. Lower more brutal. I bruised heavily and with lower, took arnica for a week before and practically nothing

BringMeTea · 17/10/2023 16:17

Very interested and rooting for you....

bronkie · 17/10/2023 16:28

I have hooded eyes and have thought about this on occasions but too scared. A friend got done and while the results are technically fab - to me it doesn't look like her anymore. I hope all goes well and look forward to seeing the end result.

BringOutTheGimp · 17/10/2023 16:48

Good luck op! How exciting 😃 hope it all goes well! I’m anticipating upper bleth in my future at some point so thanks for starting this thread.

Catsfrontbum · 17/10/2023 16:55

So interesting.

FlorenceBoot · 17/10/2023 17:02

I think Kate Moss got her eyes done a couple of years ago. Her eyes look completely different - she no longer has her trademark cats eyes.

usernother · 17/10/2023 17:07

I can't wait to see your results OP.

ConstitutionHill · 17/10/2023 17:20

Following. Good luck!
