Seasalt do little ones @dudsville . Think they’re usually 3 for 2.

dudsville · 13/10/2023 09:37

Thanks @Countmeout, I just looked and they do have a blue one I might like. I'm going past a shop later, I'll pop in!

Snowyowl78 · 13/10/2023 10:00

Royal Mail have managed to lose a toast parcel, sad because I’d waited ages for them to source me some of the bottle green linen trousers. Has anyone had a lost item eventually turn up?!

Have they said it is lost or is it just stuck?
Imo, and I have posted a fair few things over the years I have never had a lost parcel, Just a delayed one. They usually turn up.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/10/2023 10:07

Ive had a lost parcel with other couriers. Not with Royal Mail.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/10/2023 10:12

I ordered the denim skirt from Toast. It arrived yesterday. I am a 14 and the waist was fine on me. Was a bit worried that it wouldn't fit as Toast has notoriously small waists in their fixed waistband items. Its a good basic.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/10/2023 10:12

It has some elastine in it btw which adds to the comfort.

Snowyowl78 · 13/10/2023 10:14

@neveradullmoment99 theyve said it’s lost, toast have refunded just now :( I’m sad because I wanted the bottle green linen co-ord and stalked the stock on the trousers for ages!

Well it may turn up. You never know!
That is a shame. I have had this with hermes [ Now known as EVRI]

Snowyowl78 · 13/10/2023 10:22

@neveradullmoment99 evri are the absolute worst. Every time they say eg. We’ll come between 3-4, then they turn up at 11 or not at all!

dudsville · 13/10/2023 10:41

That is sad @Snowyowl78, maybe another one will be found. I've also not had ths with RM before.

Alpacasoft · 13/10/2023 10:49

My toast shorts were delivered to the wrong shop by Evri.
I only do collection now as Evri just dump on the doorstep and ignore the bloody great big parcel box!
Bit annoying as it was a trek but so happy with them.
At first glance they looked too big, however once on they are a loose but nice fit.
These are just above the knee and are so comfortable.
Will look out for more.
Thanks @ilovecherries and others for advice.
@dudsville I like Liberty for neck scarves, either silk ££ or the cotton ones which are about £10/15
Can't remember who posted it but I have Lapuan linens, hot water bottles, scarves and once you start it's difficult to want anything else!
I'm in London a fair bit so I always buy then.
Not ordered online but I think 150€ is the cut off for duty?
Have ordered the Annie cords in Brown Slate as I need warm winter trousers and these look like they might just be long enough🤞

The absolute pits. They are never accurate, dump your stuff.
Yodel are awful as well.

dudsville · 13/10/2023 13:40

Ooh, liberty, thanks @Alpacasoft !

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 13/10/2023 13:47

I looked at those @Countmeout , quite tempted. The pocket looks enormous, room for loads of mushrooms.

Countmeout · 13/10/2023 13:54

Ooh yes good thought @Theteapotsbrokenspout and all the other rubbish I carry about.

AFingerofFudge · 13/10/2023 14:48

@Countmeout I was just on Mumsnet to post about the very cords!! I was passing through the town with my nearest Toast store so I hopped in quickly to try these on. Luckily being a shortarse (5'3) they are full length on me and looked great (sorry I forgot to take a photo). I was about to buy them when the shop assistant told me there was another drop next Thursday/Friday so I decided to hold off until then. She did show me a very nice looking smock in the same material as the trousers (the lighter colour) which will be on sale next week. I've attached a very poor photo of it !!

@ToastCosILoveIt Loving the checked pieces from Burel Factory, thank you for introducing!

@dudsville Sou Sou Kyoto does beautiful wee handwoven cotton/linen bandanas (and textiles generally). They have a free intl. shipping over ¥10,000 (around £55) atm.

As a general thing, where do lovely tasteful Toasties like to browse for jewellery? Costume, not fine.

Alpacasoft · 13/10/2023 14:56

I did look at those @Countmeout but I don't really need that type of trouser.
I've got several pairs of loop back jersey for comfy days plus I dislike the white tape .
It's screams pjs to me.
The cream did appeal with a loop back jersey top or a slouchy roll neck.

The Annie cords are gorgeous.
Soft thick jumbo cord, long in the leg, even on me but too big in a 12.
I could fit both my fists down the waist at the back.
Have reordered in a 10.

PretLea · 13/10/2023 14:57

Oooo @AFingerofFudge I saw that today too, when I popped into my local store. I also saw a jumpsuit in the same material, but in a dark colour (slate possibly). It was full sleeve and a shirt collar, but rather straight down in shape. Not sure how it’s going to fit. I also glimpsed some velvet dresses (one in a beautiful blue colour).

I was wondering whether anyone has the alpaca button tank/waistcoat? I’m in real need of a tank to wear over dresses, and was thinking it might be a good option.

Alpacasoft · 13/10/2023 15:02

Oh gosh @PretLea I could really go for a jumpsuit in that fine cord.
Also hoping for another velvet skirt this year.

clowniform · 13/10/2023 15:10

@Alpacasoft are the cord Annies longer than the older denim ones? The brown is such an unusual beautiful colour. Sounds like they run bigger than usual -- wish Toast would sort the sizing out at least on styles they make every year!

PretLea · 13/10/2023 15:19

@clowniform @Alpacasoft I would love a pair of the Annie cords in brown, but they do seem really long to me. Would be good to know how they sit on someone other than the model, length wise.

Alpacasoft · 13/10/2023 15:21

@clowniform
They hit the floor on me and I'm leggy.
I've reordered a 10 so probably not quite as long but should be about right.

They aren't brown but a soft black.
Photo gives an idea of how soft they are.
Absolutely gorgeous
