Mme Macron is normally very smiley, bubbly and seems to put her guests at ease. She's probably fed up of being on show and having her appearance scrutinised and randoms on the internet saying she should smile more.

I'm always distracted by Mme Macrons shoulders. It is as though she has a permanent shrug.

Re BM shoulders/shrug - I always think she either has poor posture, or possibly issues with her spine, maybe osteoporosis? Alternatively, she might just be very uncomfortable being in public. Combined with the hair it always means she looks a bit off to me - notwithstanding the fabulous figure and the clothes.

Oh, poor Brigitte. How difficult it must be for a woman in the public eye, thrust into a role because of who they married! I think she's very petite and does favour a boxy style. I loved her red jacket and I thought the deep blue evening gown at Versailles was gorgeous, and very elegant. I also thought the updo was very flattering.

Although I can't work out what the metallic thing was on the neck of her last outfit.

Can I just pick up something from the last thread? Who would be better to 'christen' the new ship 'Vox Alexia' than Princess Alexia herself? Namesake after all (one of the triplet hopper dredgers Vox Apolonia, Vox Ariane and Vox Alexia).

I know what you mean @LadyEloise1. It's not the age gap, lots of men marry women 20 years younger and no one blinks an eye, but she was his teacher! Still, their marriage ensures and they seem happy, so vive La France!
