This thread is very informative. Thank you! I've gone for Mac and Jo Loves as I have a honed skincare routine that I want to stick to. Does anyone know of you get the voucher for the full size fragrance in this year's calendar as I can't see any reference to it on the calendar page on the website? Thank you.

@Ashleigh42 it says it here , under fragrance. 'Voucher 100ml A Fragrance', and is also listed on beautyadventcalendar.net

The page on beautyadventcalendar.net says that the Jo Loves calendar includes the voucher for a 100ml bottle of your choice.

No I'm not tempted either. I think CB are going to learn the hard way that you can't put cheap nonsense like a polyester pillowcase in your ac and charge £200

Thank you. Sold it for me! I've never bought Cult Beauty before so 15% and the free hair gift made it worth the money I think. I will give the hair kit to dd2 who has very thick hair which is down to her hip.

Yeah, looking closely at the contents, I really like the skincare. Alpha beta peels and glycolic acid treatment. Some decent cleansers and eye treatments. Even the make up is nice. And no nail varnish (which I don't use because I have gels put on).

Had to go for the cult beauty using the code - so thank you. We shan't discuss how many calendars I've already got!

The free hair gift also swung it for me as that'll be ideal as a Christmas gift for my daughter.

I’m totally unmoved by the CB ac even with a discount and that’s not like me.

I adore Lumene and have had their advent calendar for the past few years running, but most of the products had been shrunk to absolutely tiny sizes last year that I don’t think I’ll bother this time.

There's a CB unboxing on YouTube if anyone is interested. The fillers (mirror, pillow case, eye mask, under eye patches etc) are in drawers with other products. However I still find it a bit disappointing that these make up a proportion of the 'full sizes' in this calendar.

It's not for me, but given that I've already bought more than enough acs this year, that's a good thing!

I will probably pick up M&S next month, but that's virtually a gwp so isn't included in our advent calendar counts. Right??

I’m definitely leaning towards Jo Malone, following on from pp’s comments. I’ve never had a JM fragrance that I didn’t like and will use all the other bits. Molton Brown is nice especially as there’s shampoo etc to break it up a bit but not overly keen on their fragrances ( as in perfume, I like the bath and body stuff) .
Looked at Jo Loves but it just doesn’t wow me, but then tbh none of the calendars have this year.

Yes, the M&S one is a must. It's very good value. This year, it's apparently worth more than £340.

I think I may do my own one this year. I've got the Libertys autumn GWP that I haven't broken into yet. When I was buying that, there was Diptyque discovery set that I fancied that was out of stock which is £105 for 5 7.5ml samples. Or Jo Malone does a set for £90 for 5 10ml samples. I'm thinking of getting one (or both?) of those to bulk it up. I don't really use candles much so the main calendars of those brands aren't that appealing but I do like perfume.

Do the reductions seem quite early this year?

I suspect that some brands overprice so that they can offer a 'reduction'

When it happens this early I think its a sales tactic

I love cosmetopia’s videos too - laughed out loud yesterday as she described a 25ml bum bum cream as “choking hazard size” 🤣🤣

Never gone for advent calendars but I used to love the Estée Lauder or Elizabeth Arden Christmas boxes. They were issued in November. OH would wrap them and put under the tree for Xmas day. That was such a treat.
