Help Please: White dress for a funeral

I'm losing my mind. I need to find a white dress for a funeral (late relative's request, all immediate family must wear this colour) and I've been looking for days.

Most of what I've found so far is too short, partywear or out of budget. As this is something I'm unlikely to wear again - white dresses do not really suit me - I do not want to pay more than £100. The only appropriate stuff I've found so far has been the likes of All Saints or Karen Millen which are far above the budget.

At this point the only dress I've found that I like is this. Be honest, does this look appropriate as I sent it to a relative and she bluntly said I look like I'm going to get married:-

Alternatively, really like this but worried what 'Pearl' looks like in real life. Is that an off white?

Am I the only one wondering what denomination this is ?
OP has mentioned a Church, mentioned needing a hat, mentioned not being allowed to wear trousers.
Are you in the UK, OP ?

A straw hat will be fine, plenty of places should have one.

Because they respect the will of the deceased?

It's no more of an extreme request than the fairly standard wish/expectation of black/dark colours.

The traditional funeral clothing is black, which I would suggest is easier to source at any time of the year..

Could it be a Plymouth bretheran or a Mormon funeral, women don't usually wear trousers in these communities.

A scarf will be cheaper than a hat.

I think I’d just be “unwell” on the day. It shouldn’t be this difficult or expensive to attend a funeral.

I am sorry for your loss though X

Yes in the U.K:) It’s a kind of Pentecostal Christian religion - that’s the closest description I can think of since I don’t actually follow it myself.

I definitely could not get away with trousers, bare arms or any kind of straw hat. A shame as there have been some lovely suggestions on the thread!

It is a lovely hat but it’s giving me beach vibes. And I think might be too big for me. It’s tricky as hats generally do not suit me so I think something small/demure might work better?
