Help Please: White dress for a funeral

I'm losing my mind. I need to find a white dress for a funeral (late relative's request, all immediate family must wear this colour) and I've been looking for days.

Most of what I've found so far is too short, partywear or out of budget. As this is something I'm unlikely to wear again - white dresses do not really suit me - I do not want to pay more than £100. The only appropriate stuff I've found so far has been the likes of All Saints or Karen Millen which are far above the budget.

At this point the only dress I've found that I like is this. Be honest, does this look appropriate as I sent it to a relative and she bluntly said I look like I'm going to get married:-

Alternatively, really like this but worried what 'Pearl' looks like in real life. Is that an off white?

Does it have to be a dress, might be easier to get white trousers and top

the second one style is ok but it will look very grey against other white clothes

I couldn't find any white dresses that seemed suitable. How about a white trouser suit, like I've linked above?

Thank you all…I’m a size 12 so a couple of suggestions that would have been ideal (@BIWI & @minipie ) are unfortunately not available in my size! The M&S casual one would have been nice as well but it’s only available in Black.

The family’s religion stipulates that women should not wear trousers so I have to wear a dress☹

It’s really been stressful. I had to buy complete outfits for my DC as they did not own white dresses or suits. Luckily found most of their stuff on Vinted. @AlvaLane , thanks I will try new with tags on there as well then.

I'm going to look at the other items you've all suggested as well.

I also have to find a white hat as women cannot go into the church without a hair covering.

Hire one. The days when I buy an outfit for an occasion like funeral, wedding never to be worn again are gone.

Thank you!! I can get into a 10 but have a bit of tummy post DC and sometimes opt for 12. The Principles one looks like it might do the trick!!

@Nannyfannybanny hiring is a great idea I didn't think of. I just looked on HURR which is supposed to be the best rental platform out there. Don't know if I was being dim but couldn't filter by size. Might check out some others. But Vinted prices are cheaper than renting so...

Now just need a hat. FML.

I suggested new with tags as the dress is white. Hard for this keep its colour pre-loved.

Because they respect the will of the deceased?

It's no more of an extreme request than the fairly standard wish/expectation of black/dark colours.
