@BettinaInDenmark I love those green trousers in the ‘keep’ pile. Can I ask what they are and how well they size. I am normally a high street 12.

Loving catching up on this thread and reading about/seeing everyone’s sale successes. All my sale items went back (including the mill pond culottes) and have been refunded.
i still love the ikat culottes and thought I had been saved from their lure as they were oos yesterday in most sizes, but I see they have come back into stock. I think they would be more useful than the mill pond ones, but they are v spendy. I also love the b&w gingham dress (same fabric as the shirt that people were talking about up thread), but it does not work for me on bust & upper arms - too tight in m, comfy in l but looks too big. Then I wondered if it would be totally mad to buy it to turn into a skirt. I did this with a previous similar dress when the top half got too tight and it is great, I get far more wear out of it as a skirt. But at full price this seems bonkers. Hmmmm….

@Tremblingmadness The green trousers are the forward seam cotton trousers in the colour Thorn.
I have taken them in size 18, which I believe are a bit large for the size. If your hs size is 12, you would probably want a 10 in these

My breen linen bag finally arrived from Edinburgh and is lovely, will look fab with black clothes for a bit of colour over winter.

@oddandelsewhere , I've also tied myself in knots over these quilted jackets and have been looking again at the cord ones instead!

Well spotted toast in the wild @Countmeout! I have that dress and love it - tho the sleeves into regular shirt dress sleeves - it gets the most casual wear of all my dresses.

Ha! This is probably the one I returned, as I did that in the Edinburgh store. Glad you managed to get hold of it, it would likely have just sat in my wardrobe unused.

@BettinaInDenmark the pics are really dark but I really like the trousers in the first two pics and the whole of the seconf set of pics, loks all nice fitting and easy to wear, but am I just oohing and ahhing over the items I can see better? I also wish I'd tried the sea kelp stuff.

Ooooh, is that the new blue check ikat culottes @ScottishMouse ? They are really a cut above aren't they. Please do report back on them!

I tried them on previously. They are similar in cut to previous similar culottes/wide trousers, although the waist band was definitely tighter. They are very special, but now I can’t get the idea of the gingham dress as skirt out of my head instead!

@ScottishMouse I don't want to be enabling but someone on here bought two of a thing recentlyso that one could be turned into a skirt... I tinker with most things so I certainly don't think it's odd!

Oh who was that @dudsville and what did they turn into a skirt? Do you remember? I know I can do it and it would work well with lots of things I have. I would definitely do it at sale price, but somehow full price it seems a bit nuts.

If anyone’s looking for diff sizes in the sale etc, customer services will order stuff for you, I just ordered the Ochre Cotton Vest, same as the mango and mint ones, I am not sure why it didn’t turn up in the sale originally

Just as a matter of interest does anyone know what Toast do with their end of line pieces that don’t sell in the sale?

I am wondering if there is an outlet somewhere that I don’t know about.

I often see Jigsaw / Hobbs end of range pieces turning up on sites like Brand Alley but never see EOL Toast anywhere.

Silly question @Snowyowl78 what colour is the ochre one? I would have liked the brown but it was sold out. That’s not the ochre is it? I think it would match the ogee culottes I have .

I don't know for sure so don't want to "@" the wrong person, but the one of two posters who I think it is do post regularly @ScottishMouse so they might pop up soon.

I did a potentially weird thing today. I was doing a tedious mandatory training online so I had time on my hands. I know some of you keep lists of what you've bought - I've done this for the last 2 years. I find it tedious going back into toast's order history but I sometimes want to know what size it was or what it was called if the order wasn't fulfilled so I can look for it second hand...... so I've made a list of all my toast cothes with internet pic, size and cost. This is relatively easy for me as I've only been buying "nice" clothes since about 2018, and I was only buying a few things year at the start. It's a satisfying word doc now! And there's only one thing I still want so I'm off to google the second hand shops for it.

@Tremblingmadness - Toast have an ‘archive’/sample section in their shop in Shepton Mallet. That’s the only one in the UK as far as I know. Some of their sale stuff/faulty goods/sample stuff ends up there.

The rest of it I imagine as piled into some kind of warehouse clothing Tardis at Toast HQ in Wales.

Every now and then, towards the end of a sale, random items from years ago, (presumably dug out of a cupboard somewhere), make brief appearances on the sale site - usually at about 3am. It’s all a bit weird🤣
