Thanks @Theteapotsbrokenspout - I too can only wear this jacket open due to top buttons gaping, but can’t go bigger as it’s already a bit too big on my small shoulders.

I think I will keep the jacket and send all the other clothes back.

Also, if our current house infection follows the same course as last year, I will also be sick in a few days, no doubt followed by DS1. I am therefore in need of some cheering up🤣. OH is currently walking wounded, so I am hoping he’s not as sick as last year 🤞

clowniform · 19/09/2023 14:37

@Dee1224 congrats on dispatches! Still none for me :( I like the look of the pique on you but personally would find that sleeve length a bit impractical on a jacket-y piece. I do feel the cold, though! Hoping you swerve Covid, I'm still a bit run down from my last bout.

@Theteapotsbrokenspout Keep the jumpsuit on while you ponder until you next need the loo, to decide if the wriggling manoeuvres are worth it.

Love the socks @OftenOrange

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 19/09/2023 14:41

Brilliant suggestion @clowniform 😁.

Dee1224 · 19/09/2023 14:43

Thanks @clowniform - I was so sick last time, but fortunately not Long Covid - I know it got you badly - hope you recover properly soon!

The short sleeves on the jacket are a bit weird, but not the dreaded bracelet sleeves, so could probably make them work.

I am waiting for the coal tee, the gingham check dress, (tried before, trying again…), and the cedar/blue stripe.

Unfortunately I already know the cedar will be going back as I saw the long sleeved version instore last week and just looking at it triggered a headache- very thin stripes set me off😿

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 19/09/2023 14:47

@Snowyowl78 I don't seem to have the slidey thing when I'm logged in, just the recommended size (which is probably only right 50% of the time).

OftenOrange · 19/09/2023 14:54

@PretLea @Snowyowl78 I find theLinas TTS and supremely comfortable.
The style allows for variations in width.
Hope you will find the same.
@Dee1224 Yes , the pique shirt looks really good . I also like it with the long sleeved top under the short sleeves.
Worn open over tops seems the way to go.

Dee1224 · 19/09/2023 15:06

Thanks @OftenOrange - decided to keep it as it is starting to feel like ‘mine’ now.

Snowyowl78 · 19/09/2023 15:07

@OftenOrange thanks! I am excited about them as reviews say they are very comfy. Just in time for autumn!

Snowyowl78 · 19/09/2023 15:09

@Theteapotsbrokenspout thats weird, the slidey thing has gone! Lucky a took a pic!

ToastCosILoveIt · 19/09/2023 15:55

@OftenOrange , I wore my Linas’ with socks early this year before summer temperatures picked up. I absolutely love those sandals and will wear them in to autumn with some toast socks. I also just bought a pair of “as new” DM sandals in burgundy with the sole (pardon the pun) purpose of wearing them with socks and jeans/trousers or even, a la Toast, with dresses.

ToastCosILoveIt · 19/09/2023 15:57

I have also noticed that the reviews seem to have gone from Toast when I view. I rely on those reviews to help with sizing.

I am seriously contemplating the pin tuck cotton gingham top. Does anyone have it and can advise on sizing?

ToastCosILoveIt · 19/09/2023 16:17

In other news Toast Customer Services helped me to track the breen linen bag down to Edinburgh and Edinburgh are sending it out to me at sale price. I don’t understand why these are in the sale. I have the blue one and coveted the breen one but was told in store that they sold out almost overnight.

Dee1224 · 19/09/2023 16:55

That’s good @ToastCosILoveIt Do you mind saying how much it was? They had all gone by the time I accessed the sale. Is it the really big linen bag?

Thanks

faustina · 19/09/2023 16:57

@Dee1224 - the pique shirt looks great. I was wearing mine today with a ninety percent navy tee and my new breen cotton linen trousers which are so comfortable to wear . I think someone might have to stage an intervention on me if I buy another pair of trousers in a similar colour though Grin

Dee1224 · 19/09/2023 16:57

Weirdly, Toast are still selling the olive/mimosa towel at sale price £35 - I got all the way to inputting cc details rather than it disappearing from my basket, (as is usual once sale ends).

Thought I mention it, in case anyone missed out and wants to give it a try. It’s probably a glitch that will be gone soon.

neveradullmoment99 · 19/09/2023 17:10

Dee1224 · 19/09/2023 09:42

Hi @clowniform I made two smaller orders on Friday and haven’t had dispatch notes - it’s a bit odd. The money has gone out of my account, though. If I don’t hear anything today I will contact CS (again😹)

Me too. I'm still waiting on 2 dresses!

Stoic123 · 19/09/2023 17:10

@faustina - do those inclue the Alix Khaki pair which I think we bought at the same time?

PretLea · 19/09/2023 17:13

@faustina did you get the space check trousers in XXS by any chance? How was the fit? I got it in XS, but I think I should have sized down…

Dee1224 · 19/09/2023 17:13

Thanks @faustina ! Those trousers look lovely! I haven’t tried Toast trousers - except the linen - but those are seriously tempting. Brown is my favourite colour.

PretLea · 19/09/2023 17:22

@faustina @Dee1224 brown(ish) trousers are not something I’ve considered, but that collection is making me think I might need a pair. Would probably go really well with the blues and greens in my wardrobe.

faustina · 19/09/2023 17:31

@Stoic123 the bronze (?) alixes are in the pic. I also have the desert cactus (?) ones and the slate. I also have the gabis in beige and dark pear corduroy, and then an older pair in chartreuse jumbo corduroy, and a linen pair in beige and oh god I really have too many trousers don't I!

@PretLea they all look amazing with navy which is what I had on today ( with the slate pique shirt on top). You should def try!

I did have the xxs space check trousers and the fit was fine ( I'm a 6). They didn't suit me so I sent them back this morning

Stoic123 · 19/09/2023 17:39

@faustina - ha ha. I'm sure I have a similar number.
