My order also arrived today. I am keeping the green seersucker dress. I really like the orange Molloy dress, but the beige background colour doesn’t suit me at all. My favourite is the seersucker Alder dress, which was the item I wasn’t sure about. The cross over neckline is very flattering for me. Unfortunately I only ordered one size and it’s very big. I’m in too minds about keeping, or reorder in next sale. My striped tank is going back, I ordered a medium and it was ridiculously small.

I’ve just reordered the Annie jeans in a 14. The waist was very small on the 12. Whilst I was doing this I noticed they also have them in black so ordered a pair. The reviews said they came up bigger than the blue, so will wait and see.

I’m finding the sizing frustrating. I don’t live near to a shop, so spending a lot of time taking things back to the post office. I feel a bit guilty if I order multiple sizes, but it’s probably the only way to do it.

I had to return my Bryn dress as there was a mark on front. I had to size up to a large as it was very neat. My replacement large is much bigger, but I will stick with it

I’ve had 2 sale items today , the Finlay sunglasses in a lovely blue shade and the blue tapered linen trousers, both perfect . So for once I’ve got sale trousers that fit !

Not much luck so far, stripey linen vest too small, green slub vest too small but maybe just unflattering at mo, both medium, I'm a 12. Kaftan is lovely very nightie like but deeply unflattering as material sticks and balloons. White blouse nice enough but similar to one from previous season, green swimsuit I have no words, just no. Birkenstocks and cushion are yet to appear.

I’m the same @MsDastardley miles away from a shop, and my local post office only opens for a half day 3 times a week (and miles from an inpost drop off as well).
I felt really guilty after the last sale as I send back loads of stuff, and it seems to be getting worse as the sizing is very random. I’m glad this sale was so much shorter.

@Trinitybean I'm a 12 and I ordered some of my vests in a L to get the right fit.

I love that dress @Dee1224 . The colours look beautiful. Agree with others the sweatshirt is a no.

Tell me about the green swimsuit @Trinitybean . I really love the look of it but I am too heavy up top and struggle to get swimsuits to fit there. Was the bust accommodation very small? I didn’t order it because I knew it wouldn’t fit but I really want it to work and it’ll be in the next sale. What size did you order 12?

I’m a 10-12 and had to go large in the striped linen tank and it’s still quite fitted. I’m not sure if XL might have been a bit droopy round the armholes but otherwise suspect it would also be fine.

It was just weird @Countmeout or maybe it's me. It's low cut which I don't like, too big at the back but the straps were uncomfy and made me look big. I tried the 14 and cup size was a tiny bit too big so might be good for you. I've tried about six now and the best was the green fan one but they only had a ten flattering but teeny bit too small.

My sale order arrived.
The Maya dress is perfect, lovely fabric and fit.
Will be perfect for early autumn and will get a navy fatface organic top for layering .
The cotton/ linen skirt is absolutely gorgeous, a made for me fit.
Sending back the Maeve dress, way too big in a 12 and although the fabric is beautifully crisp, too much brown.

Hi, yet again Toast have deducted the cost of postage from one of my pre-sale refunds. This is despite the fact that I have a Toast pass and was recently invited to Kindred.

I have emailed them - again - as Chat never seem to grasp the issue - but it’s really not good enough. It’s happened to me at least three times before.

Check your refunds carefully, fellow Toasties!

@Dee1224 I rang them up when they did it to me, cs blamed the warehouse - not sure why it’s their fault 🤔.

Indeed @Theteapotsbrokenspout - it’s all very odd and annoying. It’s happened to me at least three times recently.

I have just emailed and gone on Chat and have been refunded but I shouldn’t have to chase them up for their mistakes.

I might not have noticed if it had been a part refund, so I suspect it happens regularly and a lot of people don’t realise.

On a related note: A while ago I may have mentioned that Toast weren’t getting my emails. After long conversations with CS and on Chat, I jokingly suggested they might be going into Toast’s junk mail.

Turns out - that’s exactly what was happening. Toast: ‘Er, yes, quite a lot of emails from you in spam…’ All this despite me getting regular emails from Toast!

Their IT department have sorted it now, but it was all very strange!

@Dee1224, I was reading your posts earlier remembering when dear friend was pregnant with her second and doubting she had room in her heart to love the 2nd as much as the 1st. Of course the 2nd found her own much treasured place in my friend's heart. The trapeze is really pretty, and I think works well with a top, and I think you're right to look for light tops like the pique but I didn't get the sense you've found your sweet spot with it yet. Maybe you need a complimentary colour rather than picking up one of the colours of the dress? I found mine so thin I'd need a slip and, a few of your will appreciate this, the fabric on one shoulder strap did not mirror the other, one had a dark blue stripe and the other was the pale green, so I looked off kilter. It's going back.

Loving that you can surprise yourself with parcel amnesia @SmaugMum ! Your shirt is a really nice shade of pink, and yay for the very special ikat jumpsuit! My ikat fell flat. It wore the hell out of me, I might as well not have even been there. Thankfully back it goes.

@clowniform I repsect your dedication to trying ALL the tees! I ordered a few, the navy boy and the blackish circle are probably staying. The mint and orange tanks, unfortunately I think I needed to size up but I'll try them again tomorrow, the mint really suited my colouring so that's a new thing to know. And I find a lot of toast belts aren't needed or I want to use a leather one, so they often get repurposed. Did I see you on another thread talking about making dickies? Toast belts could make some fine dickies!

@MsDastardley , I also have tried the alder, I sized down but I would need to go down another 1 or 2 sizes, but it's really nice so I will be on the look out for it, isn't it much nicer irl?!

As for me, in addition to the above - the bikini was all sort of wrong. It's two layers of material that are only attached at the seams, and somehow they sag. The orange boatneck is also "celebrant" (loving this term) so it's going back. I'm not sure about the midnight one, need to see it in better light, also the coffee one. The birks are heading back - I thought they'd be a nice addition but I didn't notice they were suede and I don't like that style. Lots of other bits and peices, but basically I'm keeping two tees, considering a few more and considering two dresses. Not bad!

By the way, I think even if the sale is over they might still send you something out if they have it in stock- I know the mint vest was readily available in all sizes, not sure on the mango one

Three parcels for me today, and I’ve decided to keep most of it. The midnight linen balloon trousers and the space check linen trousers. I’m sure I’ll get plenty of wear from them. Also the space check shorts - the fit is so good! I’ll also keep the linen easy dress in the black coffee colour. Very easy to wear and feels really comfortable. @faustina the bleu de chauffe is absolutely beautiful - the softest suede imaginable. Just not sure how I’m going to keep it clean/looking as nice.

The green trapeze is one I’ll have to try on again in natural light. The fit is so lovely, airy and comfortable, but I’m not sure whether the greens are a tad too bright for my colouring. I’m returning the Robyn poplin dress - possibly a bit dark in colour, and I think I’d have to iron the poplin. And ironing is not my strong point.

I received an email from Toast cancelling my order of the breen linen bag. I’ll probably get a waxed cotton tote from Kate Sheridan instead - seems a better option for the AW months.

I’m still waiting for the sheer cotton linen check shirt to be dispatched. And the Fracap Lina sandals.

dudsville the Alder definitely is much nicer IRL. It was the least favourite in my order, but turned out to be the nicest! It’s packed up now ready to return, and I will hopefully be able to get a smaller one in next sale.

@Dee1224 About what to wear with the trapeze, and possibly in line with @dudsville suggestion about complimentary colours - they styled it with this orange/ecru sweater on the website, and I thought it looked so good together.
