Has anyone looked at the mens ikat top? If that was an option in womens I would have ordered it to try. I'm presuming the men's top will be too straight for me... but I'm tempted.

@ScottishMouse - yes I had the billy trousers. I so wanted to love them but unfortunately they didn't love me so I sold them. The sizing was big - bigger than even toast. I think they're a style for someone who likes to wear a fitted top, and possibly someone a bit taller than me, though they might have been ok in the length if they'd been a smaller size. they were lovely quality and the fabric was great

Thanks @faustina. I saw they had them in a lovely khaki this season and wondered about trying them. But I am not a fan of a fitted top and I think I’m shorter than you, so I should probably give them a miss.

Really tempted by the sleeveless needlecord dress @neveradullmoment99 , it sounds lovely. Although I won’t know how I feel about the high neckline until I’ve tried it.

I’ve decided to send back most of my first batch of sale items, the kaftan is impractical, the watering can is also impractical as it says not to leave water in it in case it rusts. The sweatshirt doesn’t actually feel right in either the M or the L, so they’re both going back as well.
Hopefully I will have better luck with my orders tomorrow.

I love the design of that watering can @Theteapotsbrokenspout but had wondered if it was impractical. Unless you store it upside down there will always be a little water in the bottom!

It is a shame @dudsville as it’s far more stylish than my green plastic indoor watering can, but I think I would ruin it very quickly .

I got some more stuff yesterday, all winners! The Robyn dress, lovely and crunchy. The 2 x tanks in mint and mango both great, quite small I sized up, and the bottle green tank which I got toast to honour the price on

@dudsville the Ikat jacket could be worn as a shirt too, in case that’s of interest

@Snowyowl78 - when you say bottle green tank, do you mean the linen one with the matching trousers? How is the sizing? Because I was after that (have ordered the trousers) but they only had tiny sizes left

Thanks@Snowyowl78, yes i just thought the straight forward top might make it... I don't know, in a way I'm hoping to send the ikat back so I shouldn't be thinking about even more options!

Now, I realise this might be considered a travesty by some but I've removed the tie neck of my "frith check tie neck dress" and am really happy with the outcome. I then tried it with a jumper and was pleased, so it's being moved to winter wear! Since i was trying on jumpers I put on the space check with a jumper. It was cute, but I got far too hot to play with different options and think the colours are nice with this version but I need to look at different sweater shapes.

@faustina yes that one- it’s normal sizing, I got a large but prob would be ok with a medium too. Sadly I can’t have the trousers as there all sold out and I wanted the set, I might email them next week to see if they have any returns. What size did you get?

@Snowyowl78 - thanks - then the xxs (which they no longer have) wouldn't work for me. I have an XS and an XXS of the trousers hopefully being delivered tomorrow. I seem to be a 6 in the new sizing (as with the old sizing) if it has a fixed waistband so I had no idea which to order! If I love one of them I might ask Toast if they have a return in the tops. Would you mind giving me the code for the top? They seem to get flustered if you're asking and you don't have the code

@dudsville - they both look lovely with jumpers on top - and you've just reminded me that I have the space check trousers coming too so I will try them with jumpers if not too hot when they arrive

I’ve just got back from a Toast Circle.

It’s a massive undertaking getting to the shop - snacks for dog and OH, petrol for car, picking up sister en route, (she’s on this thread too, so hi, sis!), fighting through really dreadful traffic for several hours.

However, we got there in the end and it was totally worth it.

I am now - finally- the proud owner of the linen sundress in black coffee! I was so lucky to find one in M in the old sizing - it doesn’t pull across the chest and the straps stay up, (unlike current sizing).

I was so angry I hadn’t brought more things as I only had one token. I had to leave the Lydia dress in size 12, which was also perfect - Grrh!

@dudsville I love the Frith and regretted sending it back in the last sale (I felt it was too long, but I could have had it shortened) - I was hoping it would turn up in this sale!

Also I have ordered the men's ikat shirt just to see how it looks, I will let you know, although I haven't even had a despatch email for it yet, so the sale will be well gone by the time it arrives!
