What ‘perfect’ version of an item have you given up on?

For me it’s the perfect Bretton stripe cardigan and jumper.

I have accrued well over a 100 hundred lipsticks and glosses in n my search for the holy grail of lip colours.

Just needs to be a proper "pink", not nude, nor too bright but not too subtle, a classy hue.....aghhhhh!

A t shirt bra that hoiks up without emphasising back fat and armpit bulge in 34GG

I have never found the perfect push up bra for f cup boobs.

They are either all padding, so pull my boobs down.

Or they give me double boob.

Or you can see them under vests.

Think I've tried every brand. Including an old fashioned wonderbra.

Surely, if they can build spaceships and bridges, they can scaffold a few bits of material and boning.

And knickers that don't go up your bum. Even the belly warmers end up up your bum once you get to work.

Maybe this should go on the girls in STEM thread.

They also have some silver ones, but I don't like the toe shape. ASOS have some nice Topshop silver ones, but only smaller sizes left

@SollaSollew I do find the 70s soles better than regular Converse but the canvas still isn't soft and the toebox is worse!

I do hope the Ralph Lauren one works for you. I would be very tempted but not sure how the fold over cuff would work as I prefer a 'fitted' 3/4 sleeve. As an alternative, the nearest I've got to your/mine holy grail t shirt (after numerous attempts) is this M&S version ....

They are! I think I'm just too cheap to pay those prices. But for a classic pair I ought to be willing to pay more.

The perfect nude bra in a 34G that isn’t see-through, doesn’t have padding, doesn’t only come in a full-cup style, doesn’t have really high wires that come right up my sternum, and doesn’t have giant thick granny straps. Curvy Kate did one briefly and I managed to get it in a dusty pink plunge style, but the nude one sold out instantly and then they discontinued it in favour of all their horrible porn-star bras.

Scousemousey I have that one! It is very nice but not The One.

Flat shoes that I feel look great with a going out/ event dress. Just don't feel dresses up wearing flats. Wear them anyway, but feel mis matched

Mine are leather, which are always more comfortable than the canvas, I think. They do rub my little toes a bit though, if I walk more than about 5 miles.

I've been looking for the perfect black shirt dress that fits a J cup. Probably does exist but haven't found it yet.

Primark t shirts are the best. Reasonably priced, long length, good quality, wash like a dream, mostly cotton with a little Lycra. Huge range of colours. They do slouchy or stretch, v neck or round, long sleeved or short. Amazing.

years ago they did some with slash necks and I still have one. Such a flattering look. I wish they still did them.

for Raincoat suggestion: The Lululemon Rain Rebel. The hood is generous but stays up in wind, the material not plastic feeling. It's well made and stylish.
