@Noodle421 Thank you. Understated elegance and good drape sounds good. Is it lighter do you think than it appears on the website? I think if the colour/pattern are subdued I should be OK. I have a neat collared dk navy wool/cotton Toast jacket from a few seasons back to wear over it.

Frustratingly, nearest Toast to me is around 3 hrs drive away altho' this may be a good thing for my bank balance so have to depend on website photos.

I love a mooch around a store but tend to also buy online, mainly because I like to try things out with the rest of my wardrobe and have the option of changing my mind !! .. I have visited Kilver Court twice now and have been pleased with what I bought, but the other ( few)Toast shops I usually just have tried on ... However I am a long way from any store, so if I buy, I can't easily return..
This week though I shall be near Brighton and am planning a trip up to London, and hopefully, if all works out, I will be able to visit Notting Hill store... Am quite excited about this actually...😃

@Laska2Meryls that sounds very exciting, I can feel a greenish tinge developing! I have been contemplating a trip down to Edinburgh later in the autumn, but I think the store there might be quite small.

Tricky question. It’s an eBay purchase. Unworn and immaculate condition but it may come under the old sizing as I’m not sure how old it is. This dress is a 10 and is perfectly roomy but under the new Toast sizing I’m a 12 or a Medium. Perhaps order a couple of sizes to try ?

@Noodle421 yes, that's a good idea, will do that and report back. The new sizing is just too confusing.

I will go to Brighton Toast if I cant make Notting Hill, definitely .. Previously I have ' accidentally planned ' a few campervan stops near Toast ( DH is v indulgent- such a sweetie) so have also been to York, Bath and Edinburgh, and Shepton Mallet .. York being the smallest..... I do love the way the stores are set out.. but yes, still prefer to buy online...I am so well away from any shop, and as I am really rather over prone to having second thoughts, I want the flexibility of being able to easily return..
Kilver Court is different.. its see, buy and keep.. (although you can return, but for me its just not practical because of distance).. I am pretty sure that if I do make the NH shop , I won't actually buy .. but do want to have a good try on ! ( I believe that they carry the full range..)

@No1Mousie apologies for all the photos showing the same thing ! I wasn’t sure they were sending at one point. Anyhow, they give you an accurate idea regarding colour. Fabric is 100 % cotton and very soft, not at all like denim

@Laska2Meryls I am definitely envious! We were on holiday in S Wales last year and came upon Llandeilo completely by accident - it was a lovely but expensive surprise!
