@Dee1224 - I stalked the teal for a while but it sold out of my size so quickly. I've only even seen an xs in stock.

Laska2Meryls · 01/09/2023 22:16

If there is a sale in September will have to look on enviously at everyone's purchases because although I will have an active keep post in place I will be away in the van for much longer than the return period.... Hey ho..
It will be a first for some years...

AmethystMoonShine · 02/09/2023 05:57

That was me that mentioned the YBD 50% off sale @clowniform. So glad you got some things that you love. My Sideline cardigan and Billy trousers arrived and are lovely. Great bargains!
Not sure it’s running for much longer, I keep returning to browse but have resisted so far…….

dudsville · 02/09/2023 06:57

It's that time of year, when a sale is nigh and I click on the thread to see 20+ comments and break into a mild sweat wondering if I've missed the start of the next sale.

Interesting thinking about what folks hope for from the next sale. Last time, amongst other things, I explicitly did NOT want anymore dresses, then bought loads of dresses. I have about 18 now. I would like to think i won't buy any more but I've achieved a higher level of insight into myself and i now know better. I'll buy whatever seems fun that's at a good price. Last September i only bought two things so I'm hopeful that i might make it to the winter sale without having done too much damage.

Ah - I have succumed to a scarf and a mini pop bag (was a bit more cautious about clothes because of the no returns). Bag is a present and the reduction takes it to within budget for a friend's birthday present.

Thank you @AmethystMoonShine and @clowniform for flagging.

PretLea · 02/09/2023 09:10

@Stoic123 I’d love a mini pop bag, but I’ve had a look on the sale page and I can’t find it. Could you possibly send a link please? Or maybe it’s sold out…

Stoic123 · 02/09/2023 09:23

@PretLea - not on the sale page. Just search for 'mini pop' on the site (link below might work). Then enter Final50 on check out and it will take 50% off. No returns though and £5 UK delivery so takes price to £80 all in for black and cheaper for other colours. There are black, iris and poppy colours left.

I am prepped for a disappointing sale. Looking at the last two this time I bought hardly anything and I always buy loads! That said, I did pick up the yellow and purple linen vests x 2 which I love

ilovecherries · 02/09/2023 11:17

The parchment trousers have made it out of the black hole of Swansea. The medium is plenty big enough and I like them. I’m just not sure if I nearly £200 like them tbh. And my mind is starting to turn to corduroy

And I agree they have a faint green tinge.

Got some new stuff
This is divine, feels luxurious and fits really well

this is a winner, very wearable

This is also good but beware of new sizing! I’d need a large

concerning as I thought I’d be returning it all and now I’ve spent too much money and my beret hasn’t even been dispatched yet!

Snowyowl78 · 02/09/2023 11:32

@ilovecherries i like those!

PretLea · 02/09/2023 11:43

Those look good @ilovecherries! so not just me re the green tinge. I actually returned mine this morning in the hope to reorder another one that is more cream in undertone. But must be the new batch all looking like that. Is it a deal breaker for you, or does it still tie in with your other items?

the Colour isn’t a deal breaker, and I think it gives it a slightly cooler tone, which works for me rather than a yellow tinged cream. I’m just wondering if it’s a bad buy for the time of year.

I’m now mithering about wondering if they are too similar to the pull on wide leg pair I bought a few months ago?

They look great @ilovecherries but I would say the wide legs look even better and maybe you need to spend that money on some of the lovely Autumn things?? I know it had forecast hot weather for this coming week, but there's only so many clothes you can wear in one week!! Grin

alliscalm · 02/09/2023 12:43

Possibly in honour of this thread’s title, the Llandeilo store has just posted a clip of a lovely local forager going about her business in the £345 embroidered skirt. Classic Toast, it made me laugh. Have just taken delivery of the Seasalt Wave pinafore in a gorgeous sludgy green but I’m really hoping the Toast indigo denim version will come up in the sale, given that there’s a new version. Does anyone have it and is it very roomy. I’m assuming it’s old sizing.

Brillenbar47 · 02/09/2023 12:57

Has anyone seen or tried these please? https://www.toa.st/products/pleated-organic-soft-cord-trousers-stone

Like you @ilovecherries I am now thinking cord and I have long wanted pale cord trousers. But I am not sure that the colour is not too drab and also the fit around the tum and crotch looks tight for pleated trousers

On the question re your trousers @ilovecherries I have the same wide leg trousers as you and a similar pair to THE trousers - essential a cream linen Mariner from a few years ago I got on eBay. I try and convince myself they perform different roles but tbh they are pretty interchangeable for most outfits. There is something very slightly smarter with the wide legs.

That’s helpful (and thanks FingerOfFudge too). These were an itch I needed to scratch but I don’t think they are different enough to justify both. I’ve worn the wide leg ones 5/6 times already and never found myself saying ‘I wish I had these in a tapered leg’. I’m going to send them back and save the money. Probably had I got them 6 weeks ago when they first appeared I’d have kept them, but I’m def starting to think autumn now

Cherries, those look very nice on you but fwiw I think you're right to skip them for now at that price. Apart from anything they'd mark insanely easily.

Hope everyone's having a peaceful weekend.

dudsville · 02/09/2023 14:10

I agree they suit you @ilovecherries but I would also wonder if I liked them at the price. And mine were also a little green, I was finally able to take a look after you asking about it yesterday @PretLea.

Oooh @Snowyowl78 that's a nice little collection of things!

Ooooh you have the new cord tunic dress. What size are you and what did uou go for? Is it generous?

Snowyowl78 · 02/09/2023 14:35

@neveradullmoment99 i got a medium and it fits well. It’s not massive, I’m a 14
