Can someone kindly recommend me some good soap bars to use daily? I use dove white color soap bar but feel it doesn't really clean.

I think Dove has too much moisturiser in it, I don't find it as effective as cleaning as other bar soaps. I use whatever is in offer, T K Maxx do some really nice ones.

HappiDaze · 14/08/2023 19:32

I like Waitrose bar soaps and various choices in TK Maxx.

I'm currently using a Nesti Dante soap one of many my DM gave me a while back from a holiday to somewhere

Chasingsquirrels · 14/08/2023 19:34

I just buy basic cheap soap and have been quite happy with both of these.
The Tesco essentials one was 15p and I brought 6 bars, its gone up since.

Nesti Dante are really nice-especially the fig and almond one.
There are some nice handmade soaps if you search through on Etsy as well-I got a fab orange one for my holiday.

heldinadream · 14/08/2023 19:37

I'm using Pears green at the moment and I feel really fresh after. Good price too.
Nesti Dante has a wide selection and they are a nice treat but honestly they are not 'better' than some cheaper soaps, like the Pears.

Low range: Faith in Nature
Mid range: Neal’s Yard
High end: Aesop or Fresh

IggyAce · 14/08/2023 19:39

I use Nesti Dante or at Christmas I get the cinnamon one from The Yorkshire soap company.

I enjoy using https://islesoapco.com/

they are on the more luxury side though

For cheap I like the Johnson's honey baby soap
More expensive I raid TK maxx

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 14/08/2023 19:45

Right now I’m working my way through an orange blossom soap and before that was a eucalyptus one, both from TK Maxx as a present to me. I got some Pears the other day too, nice.

EddieVeddersfoxymop · 14/08/2023 19:46

Pears or imperial leather

PastTheGin · 14/08/2023 19:46

Johnsons honey baby soap here for every day, too. More high end: L’Occitane.

Devilsmommy · 14/08/2023 19:48

Simple soap as it makes skin feel amazing and no perfumes that dry skin out

grayhairdontcare · 14/08/2023 19:49

I like shield. I feel really clean after using it

Cricketbelle · 14/08/2023 19:53

I always go back to Palmolive (original green one).

Pears green one is nice also, very fresh.

I love nesti Dante and some that my local bookshop sell but actually the Palmolive is the freshest I think!

It seems like the big supermarkets haven't cottoned on that people are moving towards soap for environmental reasons. They should be offering more variety and own brand options that are environmentally friendly with out costing a fortune.

UndercoverCop · 14/08/2023 21:09

I like l'occitane soaps. I saw a tip on here about QVC after Christmas, this year I got 10 wrapped bars in a bundle , all different, for £20 they're really nice and I've still got some left having bought them in January

cheapskatemum · 14/08/2023 21:10

I love Lush soaps.

Fifthtimelucky · 14/08/2023 21:15

I like clear soaps and buy them loose (with no packaging) from the local health food shop.

The80sThe80s · 14/08/2023 21:16

@madeinmanc totally agree that the supermarket choice is poor. I’d love trying a different one each time.

I agree. I was in The Range earlier and they had a whole shelf of liquid hand soaps/shower gel and not one single bar soap!

NillyNoMates · 14/08/2023 21:31

I like the Dettol soap

AHugeTinyMistake · 14/08/2023 21:35

I bought some rose soap from M&S the other day, I really liked it, great scent. I think £4 for 3 bars? Pretty good value, I might try the lavender one next.

In the past I've used Dove, it was ok but I agree it doesn't feel clean. Pears is great, it's a smell from my childhood and feels really comforting! Simple soap is also good.

I think spending a lot of money on high end soap is a bit of a false economy tbh. I don't believe it gets you any cleaner.

panko · 14/08/2023 21:36

Imperial leather

Undergroundovergroundwomblingfree · 14/08/2023 21:41

Bare bar soap. They are absolutely brilliant
