I really do think people just say others look younger to be polite. I'm 32 and often get people telling me I look 25. I really don't think I look 25 if you look properly. I'm very short and slim so I can understand why I might be mistaken for younger at a glance but if you look at my face properly I think I look like someone in their 30s. I actually find it annoying because I feel like they are just falsely flattering me, I'd prefer they just didn't pass comment at all.
You do get the rare outlier who look younger but the majority of people look within their age range. There is a lot of delusion surrounding this subject but I suppose it must be nice really to truly believe you look 15 years younger. And a poster several pages telling OP she looks 25-30 is just mental, OP looks fine but she doesn't look like someone in her 20s. It's either a lie or people who say that sort of thing mustn't spend a lot of time around people in their 20s.

This thread has been most entertaining anyway.

Who knows what they even meant, anyway. I might say that OP was young-looking based on the "smiley face" photo because she has a cute, girlish smile rather than baring her gnashers in a plastered-on grin.

It’s fantastic that people can be happy within themselves, I am too and at 66 almost it’s great to have confidence, but there’s a fine line coming across as arrogant as in look at meee! But I guess some like to grab some attention while others take compliments and quietly fade into the background. 🤣🤣👊

Agree that it's fine to look your age, but if you want honesty your face doesn't look 50, you would pass for any age 40s. I think it's the grey hair that looks older and even that looks fine if you're happy with it.

My glasses photo was to my sister who asked a question.

My 'pouty pictures', I will always post because I like myself, but I'm also quite ridiculous. It's ok to think you're brilliant but also human and nonsensical.

It's ok to be older, gorgeous, an absolute arse, want to look great whilst also understanding the absolute foolery of it all.

And I will keep posting pictures on 'age' threads, because I quite like myself

(And am also a masochist, obviously).
