He did. He kept up to date with the latest patterns, as a sort of foil to account for his youthful appearance as people were growing suspicious.

And yet I am certain that he had a great many filters applied to the photograph which appears on the previous page of this thread.

Yes I have them prescribed but if you go private they are around £30-40 per injection which I have had to do sometimes if I need an extra boost! X

Yes!
If anything, I thought Laila looked older than her mother. I think it was the heavy makeup and, possibly, filler.
I know it's a bit of a deviation to post here, but I just wanted to see if there were any quick opinions as to whether I was right or not and DH is no good at this sort of thing (and this is a thread about whether people look their age or not).
First time I've seen a mother and daughter actually look like sisters.
There was a pair once on Four in a Bed who said they did.
They so didn't.

Ooh! And I knew what a skep was and got pointless answers for the R&J speech.
I'll happily swap that for not looking 20 years younger than I am... <🤞behind back>

I do look younger than I actually am, most people I grew up with does, everyone I went to primary school on my facebook does, anyway. We were 80's kids and I think a lot of us 80's born look younger than our age, even the boys. In my case it's probably down to not having children.

This is all about perception and delusion. You won't look younger than your age to people from several generations after the 80s, despite the fact that you think you look youthful.

A Gen Z will think that you all look your age and old!

Both women are very attractive, but Laila is very heavily made up, as is the fashion with a lot of young women, but it does make her age a bit ambiguous. Her mum has that nice plump faced look, that helps when you age!
I agree that it's rare mother and daughter ever look like sisters, but in this case they did!

I know. My DDs don't go in for anything quite that thick but I do remember the elder one - who is blessed with amazingly long and thick eyelashes (honestly, it's not just mother-goggles) - complaining that she couldn't find false eyelashes that were big enough: "You can't tell I'm wearing them".
In my day, that was the whole point!

False eyelashes are crazy now - they're just getting thicker and longer! It must be an impediment to wearing glasses.
They seem to go for very heavy and deliberate contouring.

@SheRaaaaa i think people do nowadays look a lot younger than they used to.

I remember my grandparents at 50 and they looked a lot older than my friends who are 50 do now. Rather than looking old at 50 that those born in the 20/30s did it is much more 65-75 now I think.

but age does catch up with you all.

so I think if that is the comparison we have how are parents/grandparents looked at this age we do look I think comparatively younger- particularly if make up etc is worn. But if compared to a 20-30 year old we definitely look older!

I think they seemed younger because of the way they dressed, styled their hair and carried themselves.

Some elderly people showed me pictures of their “gang when they were in their 50s. I was so shocked by how young they looked. It made me realise for the first time in my life that 50 ain’t that old. A lot of people in their 50s look amazing.
