I said initially it was from &other stories but having looked at the label, it’s Hush. I do have a very similar one with bee buttons from Stories though, which is lilac. It’s too cold here for bare legs, so dresses def off the cards.

Slightly better day but couldn’t see myself in a dress this morning. Not that good.
Back in the indigo twill Alix and the chambray shirt. My one concession to summer Birkenstock sandals from the winter Toast sale .

Sorry for non-toast post but I just picked up my Beaumont organic order and I'm so pleased with them! I'd been looking for a black non-dressy dress all summer and this is perfect ( if you fiddle with the sleeves a bit). Huge pockets too! The navy dress is lovely but might go back because I don't think I wear dresses enough to keep it. The fabric is a sort of poplin but a little thicker and less noisy than toast poplin

@Sooverthemill - I am very tempted to get another one in cream and dye it - it would be madness considering how often I wear dresses though, and I just bought a beautiful navy linen Toast dress on the FB page. My local store doesn't seem to have them, so I had to order online, but there is quite a lot of the brand there. Hope you like yours!

I’ve got it and love it. I’ve got the largest size as the smaller size was a little tight across the chest. I’m a UK 12 with not a particularly large bosom, although they’ve grown a little in comparison to my younger years. The Toast assistant also has it in the large size and she’s very tall and slender. It’s not yellow at all, more a beautiful cream colour.

@neveradullmoment99 ive just watched the Instagram clip and the Reed blouse does look gorgeous. She’s very slender and I’m guessing she’s wearing the the smaller size. It hangs beautifully on her. Mine doesn’t look quite as good on ! It’s more voluminous but I’m very happy with it. Smaller size definitely pulled over the chest area. I do a front tuck when pairing it with my new Toast denim skirt. It looks fab with denim.

Wish I hadn’t seen that Instagram clip - I now want the striped skirt 😡

Well the batik skirt has just arrived - postie was very late today. It's a very definite no. Whilst being the perfect cut and style for me, I didn't like the fabric and colour-way in real life and it just wasn't me when I tried it on. Shame as I have so few skirts, it would have plugged a gap for me.

@clowniform the style/cut is indeed identical to the patchwork skirt.

@AFingerofFudge Did the navy wide leg trousers arrive? What do you think of them ?

@Laska2Meryls they are hugely disappointing and going straight back. The waist is much tighter than the ecru ones in the same size, but it's the material that is the biggest let down. It's really thin, and gives it no structure and substance, the fact there are pleats on the leg at the bottom are lost on them as the trousers just sort of droop and will not keep their shape. Can you tell I don't like them?!

@faustina Fabulous dress, too tempting not to buy another and dye it though?!

@Noeggsontoast I know what you mean about a dearth of skirts, they’re difficult to find. I buy work skirts from Jigsaw in the sale which are part of my A/W work wardrobe with a jumper and knee boots. Not sure about you but the batik fabric looked very ‘flat’ to me, not enticing.

She ( Evie - I think ?) may be wearing the very small size. The size you ordered may fit you perfectly ! - we are all different with shape, size and proportion.

True :) She is extremely thin. Infact, the skirt hardly stays up when she goes to tuck it in.

@neveradullmoment99 did you order the middle size? If it’s too small across the chest perhaps consider ordering the larger size? Mine wafts out more at the bottom but I still like it. It was perfect to wear on the few very hot days we’ve enjoyed so far. Cool and crisp. I think it’s one of my favourite tops.

I ordered the small medium after getting the sizes from the chat, so thinking its going to be too neat on me but I will see. It should come on Wednesday. If its too small and I like it, I will order the larger size. I just didn't want it to be huge on me.

@Saurus72 agree and that's a good word to describe the fabric. I instantly disliked it before I even tried it on.

@AFingerofFudge - how disappointing about the navy trousers - something like that really does need a bit of structure and the ecru fabric was just right. I wonder how they got it so wrong?

That shirt from Seasalt is almost identical to the Toast one - I think in the past Evie has said she deliberately sizes up in things if that helps at all? (she did that with a beautiful fair isle yoke jumper)

Thanks all for the dress appreciation. I'm going to try the two sizes again tomorrow and decide which to keep. Hopefully if I dress it down a bit it won't look too much like I'm in deep mourning and it's 1853.

Hmm.. thats a bit how I feel.. nothing compared to the ecru ones... Fabric is just not so substantial..
Its a bit hard atm to compare things as all of my clothes are packed up as we are re- doing the bedroom.. But I have been wearing my navy balloon trousers today again and they are effortless... unlike the navy wide legs..
Tomorrow I will dig out my indigo mariner trousers ( currently in a suitcase).. and compare them with the new navy wide legs and also the navy balloon ones ..
I have a couple of weeks yet to return..
