The M&S box is on the beauty advent calendar site and on the M&S site

I have been browsing at M&S and found this: https://www.marksandspencer.com/september-beauty-box-2023/p/hbp60628957?intid=mobileappppdpshare

Squishmymallow · 29/08/2023 21:36

I hope the M&S calendar is more exciting than that September box!! Literally no products in there that would even tempt me a tiny bit!
The Sephora sneak peek looks better than the CB one but the price has certainly jumped from last year. Not sure how I feel about it!

ginislife · 29/08/2023 22:21

DD is currently obsessed with PLouise and gets a monthly subscription delivery so I had a look at an AC perhaps for her birthday. £210 !!!!! Omg seems expensive.

AnnieSnap · 29/08/2023 23:27

Wow! Hard to believe this thread already has 200+ posts 😯
I’m in though 😂🤣

For those of you who like trying high end products but aren't enthralled by the advent calendar offerings so far, I bought this beauty kit about 6 weeks ago.

Not cheap but I'm impressed with the Vit C serum results (comparable to CE Ferulic) and am a big fan of Bioeffect EGF stuff anyway. I have been enjoying trying out the products even though I'm generally feeling a bit jaded about beauty stuff. Beautifully packaged.

Thanks for that..looks good! I’ve already got the Costa Brazil firming oil which I do love. A big staple the Queen of Hungary I use daily. Other items look good to try !

Neversaygoodbye · 30/08/2023 07:42

I definitely like the look of Sephora. I normally have a cut off around £100 but then also end up buying a 2nd calendar for January as it's my birthday early in the month. Tempted to splash out on one pricier calendar this year.

MidnightMeltdown · 30/08/2023 12:27

Thanks @Possimpible 😊

There's definitely enough in there to make it worthwhile for me. The only thing I'm unsure about is what lipstick to expect. Some sites are saying Nars afterglow lip balm in Turbo, while others are saying Nars Powermatte lipstick in Dragon girl

Enriquetta · 30/08/2023 13:28

Liberty GWP is up – however, not really impressed by the contents, and don’t really need anything, so I’m going to leave it…

loz12345 · 30/08/2023 16:28

@Neversaygoodbye if you sign up to the Sephora site you get to select 2 brands that you get 10% off all purchases- you can change them every 6 months - last year I chose Sephora and the discount worked on the calendar plus there were some really good Cashback offers from Quidco etc

MavisMcMinty · 30/08/2023 19:25

No! Nor me! Dang, I was going to get the LF one unseen, so I’m glad I looked at the contents and will spend my money elsewhere. Shame, I thought last year’s was their best ever.

I might end up without an AC this year!

Possimpible · 30/08/2023 19:27

Space Nk here! Not sure how I feel about it yet - first impression is I'd have liked some perfume, and the candle is the same as last year's LiB so I already have it (also much smaller - 85g).

HN not grabbing me either, although I think it's better than last year's list for me. A 30g candle, are they for real? LF is meh but it always is (IMO). Also annoying that they're listing 25ml Bum Bum cream and the Coco and Eve hair mask worth £15 as full size when they're definitely not - they might be available to buy but they're travel size at best. We'll need to keep our wits about us when looking at sizes this year.

ferretface · 30/08/2023 19:36

Sephora looks promising. I usually get Lookfantastic but I already have that eyeshadow palette (and it's not great either) and there are lots of duplicates and repeat offenders.

Liberty underwhelmed me this year even though I had enough Beauty Drop credit. I spent it on the GWP instead. I also vaguely looked at the PLouise calendar as I really like the quality of their eyeshadows but being realistic, even though I like makeup calendars it's too much to spend on product that I won't use that often, I only really like the palettes.

Stoic123 · 30/08/2023 19:45

Sephora also looks promising to me (so far) and Fortnums is still a possibility. Nothing else so far remotely appealing.

Space nk has too many hair products for me and the lipstick shade if the hourglass “at night” will not suit me - much too dark . Really thinking of giving the calendars a miss this year . So expensive for a lot of things I don’t use . I only use CGM hair products so lots of the hair offerings are out.

Giftwithpurchase · 30/08/2023 20:20

Look Fantastic is really weak I think - what a disappointment.
Space NK not for me. HN interesting will have another look through but initial reaction is a no. Looks like eve Lom rescue mask is this years Ren glow tonic. Also how annoying that the Rare beauty product across two calendars is an eyeliner!! 😭

AprilLady · 30/08/2023 20:40

I think the HN looks really interesting, but would be even better with a different selection of perfume. Really don’t want Molecules 01 or MFK 724 (so many better MFK options!). I’ll definitely be adding to my spreadsheet when I am back from holiday next week.

ajandjjmum · 30/08/2023 20:41

Just looked at Liberty. Do we know the cost? I couldn't see it on their website. I have £360 in the beauty drop account (to be cancelled), and don't know whether it's worth it. I'd just sort of decided to stick with M & S this year, but FOMO!

MavisMcMinty · 30/08/2023 20:52

£250 or £260, I think @ajandjjmum .Plenty of credit left over!

MavisMcMinty · 30/08/2023 20:54

It’s on pre-order at the moment with £10 off for BD members - the advent calendar website has details.

BatsHatIsWonky · 30/08/2023 20:59

Net A porter
Harrods
Fortnum and mason
Liberty

Those are the 4 for me this year I think. Need to whittle them down as 4 is just ridiculous but these are the ones that appeal

I always get liberty so maybe time for a change, I don't know

I'm about to buy a Jia Jia crystal bracelet anyway as a special gift to myself in memory of someone - so net a porter is kind of appealing the most to me

And I cannot open one more ren glow tonic or eye liner

OchonAgusOchonOh · 30/08/2023 20:59

Hmm. Based on the perfumes, I'm assuming HN won't ship to Ireland. Liberty do an overseas substitute but none of the others seem to.

I quite like the look of it a first glance but 4 of the items are vouchers which are no use to me as no HN near me and there are a few DoDs but with 45 items, that's ok.

sgtz · 30/08/2023 21:23

Anyone know if you can get the Liberty GWP whilst using blue light discount? Have made sure amount is more than £175 post-discount but it keeps disappearing from my basket…

Possimpible · 30/08/2023 21:28

I can't see the Liberty GWP, is it only for subscribers? What's in it?
