Thread to discuss and compare 2023 Beauty Advent contents. Started because Liberty has already published their contents.

I applaud them for trying something different but it seems a definite misfire and I’m not interested at all. Hard no. If I want gloves and earrings I’ll pick them myself.

I like the look of some of the beauty products in the Space NK calendar but I don't want earrings, gloves or a bum candle.

Does anyone know the release date for the Next AC?

Has there been anything from Sephora or Latest In Beauty yet? They were the other ones that looked good last year. I also got Fenwick's reduced last year which I liked - not many full sized items, but interesting brands to try and it had a 10ml Frederic Malle perfume which was with most of what I paid.

Oops clearly I mean the N-A-P calendar! Bit of a brain blip there!

@Stokey haven't seen anything yet, I reckon we'll start to see things being announced in the next couple of weeks. Latest in Beauty was brilliant last year, I just went through the contents list and I've used up almost everything. There was only one item I didn't like, I had an allergic reaction to the shower cream

I really like Latest in Beauty, particularly now I’m elevated to a LiB Pro. Does the 15% off and free delivery apply to the AC? Tempted to buy it without looking at the contents first, I’ve enjoyed every other edit I’ve bought from them.

Just received an email from Sephora as I bought their calendar last year - it doesn’t mention any products but it does say that there will be 36 products 23 of them full sized - it was a great multi brand calendar last year so I am hoping it will be just as good and that they don’t put the price up massively although last year it was a bit of a bargain at £125

Wow that sounds good, hope it is similar to last year as that was amazing. (Didn’t get it though as had already bought John Lewis)
Now we are getting close to September hopefully we will get more reveals.
Depending on the rest of the products I could be tempted by Boots but that goes on sale on the 12th of September which is a bit early as we still don’t know loads of advents so I hope it dosent sell out too quickly
Looking at my beauty stash I definately only have room for 1 advent this year

I'm hoping Sephora ships to Ireland this year as it looked great. While I definitely don't need two (or even one), I could be convinced by the Boots premium if the rest is as good and the sephora one. But yeah, it's a shame they don't all announce at the same time so we can make informed decisions.

How much is the Boots Premium one and what are the products?

It's £99 and the full contents haven't been announced yet. It can be seen at the link posted above. That site is the most useful for checking contents and release dates and has an A-Z. Really Ree's site is also useful

Really Red hasn't done much this year in the way of advent calendars. I always check beauty advent calendar

I've ordered the Harrods calendar. I decided that I deserved it as I 'saved' over £500 by not ordering my usual F&M, or Liberty 😆

I will probably get one other. Either Space nk, Sephora, JL or Boots depending on contents

@catsaregodsindisguise I do too, but she does have a page here and tbf there's not been much to announce yet.

@MidnightMeltdown Just looked at Harrods again - I think I like it even better at second glance! Good choice. I'm trying to only get one this year though so I want to wait until more contents are announced first.

I’ve never checked the contents before this year but that’s because I never knew there were SO many of them until I found this thread! There are about 100 on that beauty advent calendar website posted often on this thread.

For me it doesn’t matter if I check the contents pre-purchase because I’ll have forgotten almost all of them by December. I’ll buy the Look Fantastic one without looking at the contents because it’s usually quite good and if you’re a subscriber you get it for £85.

I suppose if you’re spending £250+ on an AC it makes sense to check the contents first.

I usually forget most of the contents once we get to December, except maybe a few.

I may buy the M&S without checking as it's cheaper than most, but I wouldn't buy a pricey calendar without looking first.

M&S have a September beauty box/edit. I don't want more Percy & Reed Wonder Balm or Pixi tonic though

I see this Hearst beauty box is still available at a discount - I bought it a few months ago and have used and liked pretty much everything in it.

For those of you who like trying high end products but aren't enthralled by the advent calendar offerings so far, I bought this beauty kit about 6 weeks ago.

Not cheap but I'm impressed with the Vit C serum results (comparable to CE Ferulic) and am a big fan of Bioeffect EGF stuff anyway. I have been enjoying trying out the products even though I'm generally feeling a bit jaded about beauty stuff. Beautifully packaged.

Quite a jump in the Sephora price for this year but I do like some of the products announced and says 26 more to come so multiple in some doors which is good too x
