Thread to discuss and compare 2023 Beauty Advent contents. Started because Liberty has already published their contents.

I haven't had the BD email with the discount to order the calendar early. I don't want to buy until the end of the month as I want a further £20 credit.
Does the presale have a cut off date?

For me, I dislike Avant as I don't like the manipulation involved. It is purposefully marked up to make Advent Calendars and beauty boxes appear more expensive than they are. It feels kind of like a con.

So I can't enjoy them when I feel that way about them and to me, the whole reason I love beauty products is because of how they make me feel.

The Anthropologie calendar looks nice. I hope Flannels are going to produce one this year, last year's was lovely.

I opened my one and only bottle of Ren AHA tonic this morning, as I’d run out of my usual serum.

Love this thread, even though I’ve only ever had the Holland & Barrett calendar, as it seems to be the only one at a reasonable price that guarantees no animal
ingredients/testing.

They have put a lot of products in that Space NK box, but as you say, no sizes

I really shouldn’t have started looking at the contents of these ACs, because so far I’m very meh about them all. The Next one looks great value but I have loads of the products already and have not enough interest in the others.

It was better when I just bought them unspoilered, unseen. More of a surprise.

I blame you all. And suppose I also have to blame myself for buying all that stuff for my birthday, no wonder I already seem to have most of the products - I do!

…That said, a second look at the Space NK one and I’m suddenly tempted. 33 products, many of which I haven’t got.

I@MavisMcMinty I think the problem is the same brands keep coming up time and time again so anyone who has been buying beauty boxes/advents for a couple of years or so will have tried 80/90% of the products already. Where are the new brands?
Also you can see the brands trying to push their products this year. Last year it was KS exfolikate. This year it looks like eve lom rescue mask!

@Puravida23 - I agree. I bought the JL calendar last year for a relative as a milestone birthday present. She hasn't bought one before and doesn't tend to do GWP or beauty boxes- she and was delighted with it.

Damn! I’ve spoiled myself for ACs.

Right Space NK is out for me. I've tried all but 3 of those products and only use 4 of them regularly now. Unless those 4 are full size it makes no sense for me to buy it.

Holding out now for JL, Net-a-porter and Cult Beauty. I can't remember if Harvey Nicks now do one too.

Me too. Unless JL’s looks great I’m not having one this year. I’m bitterly disappointed in Liberty.

Yeah I have had similar feelings re space - it’s my fault for beauty junkie status.

Wonder if Hearst Magazines will do any ACs? They’ve done big beauty boxes this year.

I actually like the look of space nk compared to the others - did they do any good offers last year? I have a feeling they did but not sure what it was

I’m not sure I want any yet…there are things from each one I like, but not enough. I think I would rather have one great item I love, although not very festive 🎄
So disappointing!

Oh god, it has that awful laneige lip sleeping mask in chocolate. That's enough to put me off.

I have so much stuff, and so many empty advent calendar boxes, I could make up several of my own and will have forgotten what I put in them by December.

Or I could do a really good unselfish thing and make up a load of ACs to give to a women’s refuge or food bank.

They’ve maybe updated since it first went on - I can see sizes.

Too £££ for me but I’m looking forward to the Look Fantastic and JL ones
