I like those ballerettes, so long as they come in wide fit!
I just bought two pairs of sandals from Bon Marche with velcro straps and am very happy with them. Comfort is everything when you're my age (mid 50s).

My nan had the C&A version of them. Nan feet. Proper nan feet in proper nan shoes.

Someone in my family - way back in the day - has been intimate with mammoths. I am quite the throwback.

Having now seen more pictures, I have decided I love the jacket. Yes, it's a bit retro but it's fun and bright.

The skirt and shoes are a bit meh but I think she's going for statement jacket and neutral everywhere else?

Ice not ever has an espadrille. The strings would make my limbs look like a brisket.

Sofia continues her reign as junior style queen on RS&B. Leonor's dress makes me think of what a fashion commentator I follow calls "shoulda caught the bus" due to the creasing!

They are comfy, also you can alarm people because they make no sound as you walk. You can get ones with straps, you don't have to have strings. Markies do nice ones.

I'm not sure about Kate's outfit today, and agree with the umpire/Diana comments, but am delighted that she appears to have ditched the Stupid Little Bag.

Laughed aloud at Kate channelling Charles. Camilla looks great.

She does have a Stupid Little Bag in the first pic, but in the second pic the lady in the spotted dress appears to be carrying it!

I have to confess I wore a very similar outfit to a wedding in the 80s although my jacket was short sleeved and dusky pink with dusky pink shoes - alas I don't have any photos
