Clearly a slow news day at the Mail!

It makes up for the rather mean article about Kate’s “disappointing” jewellery. I think she’s probably in a difficult position, can’t upstage Mrs The King, may not have access to the good stuff (who makes those decisions now I wonder?). I sincerely hope she will get to wear all the bling when it’s her turn.

She and Sophie aren't digging out the jewels but tbh I don't think there are as many events to attend that call for bling these days. Both of them seem to have much bigger clothes budgets these days though!

The jewellery article was weird. Why would Catherine wear the really expensive pieces at daytime engagements? Aside from the fact that the same paper would be merciless about the tone deafness of wearing expensive jewellery in a cost of living crisis, most of the really pricey pieces are only seen at State events as far as I can tell.

She doesn't wear brooches so there isn't much else she can borrow unless it's an evening event or something like the Coronation.

I thought the same @MrsLeonFarrell - felt there was some sort of undercurrent that I was missing otherwise it was such a non-article.
