Also, maybe no haemophilia in the royal family - Victoria was the carrier and passed it down.

Oh dear. Maria Theresa is the same shape as me. I too would have looked like a sofa.

No ruffles
No bows
No fou fou sleeves
No green

Otherwise a great choice Grin

All it lacked was tiers. Grin

Vitriolinsanity · 11/07/2023 20:35

@MotherofPearl it's been two years of fashion hell.

Thank God herself for the cigarette pant and white shirt/t shirt.

MotherofPearl · 11/07/2023 20:37

Amen @Vitriolinsanity!

StartupRepair · 11/07/2023 22:09

Wonder if William and Kate might snap up the brooch for their own Charlotte.

Serenster · 11/07/2023 22:20

Hmmmm, I don’t hate Bea’s dress, but I would ditch the print section around the neckline, which I think just doesn’t look great when worn (It looks like an odd necklace or similar).

Maireas · 11/07/2023 22:23

No, I think it's all wrong, the sleeves, the design, the proportions. I'm glad that Beatrice is experimenting with fashion and trying new looks, though. I don't think this works.

OP posts:
SqueakyDinosaur · 11/07/2023 22:29

It's hideous, IMHO.

MotherofPearl · 11/07/2023 22:29

I don’t hate Bea’s dress

I do! Sorry, I know that's harsh but it's just awful - the print, the shape, everything. Actually I think the colours are okay and quite interesting.

SqueakyDinosaur · 11/07/2023 22:30

The neck looks like a slave collar.

Papergirl1968 · 11/07/2023 22:34

Ohh, no, I don't like the neck of Bea's dress.
Camilla in another nice dress and Silvia of Sweden wearing Camilla's favourite brand of comfy shoes, Sole Bliss, apparently made for wide feet and bunions!
And Sarah Chatto at Wimbledon. Not much of her outfit is visible but as she gets older there is a definite look of Margaret about her, and perhaps Anne.

There is way too much going on in Beatrice's dress. The facial expression on the guy at the back says it all.

Ohpleeeease · 11/07/2023 22:50

I like the sleeves and the skirt of Beas’s dress but the chest bit is all wrong, looks like a rib cage.

The man in the background looks like a young Harrison Ford!

Sarah Chatto is the image of her father and yet looks like Margaret too. It’s her expression. I recognise this syndrome, people always say my DD looks just like me, but actually she has her father’s features which are quite different from mine. However we animate in the same way and that’s what people see.

Vitriolinsanity · 11/07/2023 22:56

I actually recoiled at Beatrice's dress. It started with the faux collar and didn't end.

GrouchyKiwi · 11/07/2023 23:09

It looks like there's an angry face at the top of Bea's dress.

I like the idea of it - the shape is cool. Poor execution on the fabric design.

Eaumyword · 12/07/2023 08:20

It does look like an angry face 😂
Really don't like the dress.

LadyEloise1 · 12/07/2023 09:35

Bea's dress is far too "busy" for me.
She had been blessed with beautiful legs.
I love her shoes but they don't go with the dress.

MsMarch · 12/07/2023 10:46

Beatrice's dress just has too many elements. The sleeves OR the design element over the chest/bust, not both.

She has developed a lovely figure but I always worry a little as wasn't she often a little more like her mum? She looks lovely now but somehow always too thin but I'm not sure if that's because I am remembering her as a slightly overweight teen/early 20s.

KillingMeDeftly · 12/07/2023 11:58

A glitzy look from Mathilde to mark the tenth year of Philippe's reign. The colour is good on her but the style is a bit mother of the bride at the evening reception.

Here's Charlotte C in a non-hideous Chanel for a change, and a lovely casual shot of the Norwegian crown prince family. Ingrid is lovely and Sverre-Magnus has shot up and looks about 30!

(I like Ingrid's blouse but not the trousers and you can't really go wrong with a Breton top, as MM has discovered!)

Papergirl1968 · 12/07/2023 15:30

Camilla, Zara, Mike and Peter Phillips are all at Wimbledon.

MsMarch, like many women Beatrice’s weight has fluctuated over time. She ran the London marathon in 2010, and was noticeably slimmer in the lead up to, and after that (unsurprisingly!). Here she in in 2013 for example. She herself also said as she got older she appreciated the importance of aiming for a healthier lifestyle.

That green dress and belt are fabulous ok her. I wonder what height she is.
