I have that exact bag Seneca. It’s so lovely and a great colour - goes with everything. It’s the only thing I’ve ever seen on royals and immediately wanted (Meghan has it too)

I am a real handbag person. It's always the first thing I notice on the photos posted on these threads. Lots of handbag envy as well.

Back to Prince Albert - for me, he'd look so much better if he were not so tubby. Many of his clothes are not stylish, and don't fit.

Anyway. Anyone read the link about Princess Marina? I don't think she was conventionally beautiful, but she was certainly stylish.

No sign of Kate at the tennis but I did see Diana aka Emma Corrin, if that counts!

Those are lovely pictures - very elegant sisters.

Princess Marina was widowed at 36 such a short marriage and never remarried. Died at 61. An unusual beauty.

What did Marina die of? 61 is no age really.

Especially when you consider how long-lived her SiLs were!

Sadly, she had a brain tumour.

I'm surprised she never remarried but perhaps the DoK put her off marriage for life!

Was Marina a nice mil to the Duchess of Kent and Angus Ogilvy ?

Put it this way: she thought both Alexandra and Edward should have married European royalty. She had potentials lined up. In particular, she never accepted Katharine Worsley and I suspect Angus Ogilvy didn't fare too well.

Marina was chronically hard up after DOK was killed. She was reportedly unimpressed by her Scottish aristocratic sisters in law. Her own background was the Greek and Russian royal families. And her marriage was interesting to say the least. So all round I suspect she was very hard to get on with as a mil.

The only marriage she was impressed with was Elizabeth and Philip! Mind you, she was Philip's cousin, so he was sufficiently royal for her. I suspect that she may have approved of Michael's marriage to Baroness Marie Christine!

Philip was descended from the Russian royals through his grandmother as well as from Queen Victoria so defo the right type.

Oh yes, Philip was properly Royal!
